I am overjoyed. I just found out that after 12 long years the german dub of Detective Conan will finally continue. With most of the original cast returning. I literally cried tears of joy when I found that out. I'll finally be able to watch past episode 333. I originally planned to joke about how the channel celebrated the German Unity Day by showing SAO S1 as marathon, but I can't be mad at the people that fulfill one of my biggest childhood wishes.
Though that doesn't stop this episode from being bland.
We continue with Sinon giving her best Metroid Other M impression while DG gets ready to kill her. If you expected something other than Kirito saving her, then you're clearly wrong here. We later learn that in this few seconds he was able to beat the other player and steal her weapon.
They escape and find some of those buggies only Kirito can drive and one convenient robot horse, which is said to be faster but harder to control. They choose a buggy and Kirito orders Sinon to shoot the horse while standing and waiting. He could also just wait for DG and stab him with his sword, I mean block rifle shots from close distance. Instead Shino's PTSD suddenly triggers and she can't shoot the horse.
DG gets the horse to really drive home the whole horseman of death image. And because he apparently is the only other person on that planet that played Mario Kart, he can control it without trouble and we get a chase sequence. Now Kirito orders Sinon to shoot DG, but she still can't. She says she can't even look at guns, though we know that's wrong. But she even less wants to give Kirito her gun and tries again after some encouraging words. She misses and hits a car wreck instead. Though apparently this game has the most realistic random objects in a game ever, because the car actually explodes and they can escape.
They hide in a cave because why even bother with the satellite scan (it also doesn't work on DG's invisibility cloak). Sinon gets sad and angry because of everything and lets it out at Kirito. She doesn't believe someone would like to help her because she killed someone (in self-defense). Ten seconds later she's lying in his lap and Kirito can tell his life story and that he also killed people.
