The House with a Clock in It's Walls

Between the two movies I've seen in a 24-hour time span, this one was a lot more enjoyable to watch. The constant theme of the clock gives me chills. And yes, while he is suitable for comedy, Jack Black can pull off a serious role (Kung Fu Panda 2 is a good example). Plus, he and Kate Blanchett do have an interesting dynamic.

Now, I haven't read the book. Basically, this has the overall plot of Season 1 of Ducktales. The boy loses his parents off-screen and lives with his uncle, who has a very interesting life story. However, the Uncle hasn't made any good ties with his family. However, there is an evil force in the works waiting to be released.

Still, it's more enjoyable than The Predator, and I recommend seeing it while it's in theaters.
