    I'm done for a while

Yesterday I made a blog and, to put it lightly, it took less than six hours for it to turn into an absolute shitshow. That blog was specifically to air the fact that I was feeling a personal crisis of conscience and was largely mocked for it where the blog's comment section didn't just dissolve into a batshit fucking loco mess of luchadores on ketamine baiting trolls and then getting run over by

    Update Bug: We Are Legion

For some reason Fimfiction is timestamping the recent updates for Legion as being half a year ago, so if you’re not getting updates, that’s why.

    Secrets of Legion

Alright everyone we're taking a short break from Dead by Midnight to learn exactly what it is that happened to the CMC that led to their descent into Killer-dom as the savage Legion. I'm going to be posting two chapters a week on Tuesdays/Thursdays. Hope you all enjoy reading their story.

    Cheers,

Featherfall!Sci-Twi · 6:25pm Sep 16th, 2018

I'm posting this mostly because I know I'm going to get some complaints about how I will be portraying Sci-Twi in Featherfall, believe me I know. Partly I know this because Sci-Twi is sort of an 'everyones waifu' kind of character. The 'sweet cinnamon roll too pure for this world' character.

I hate those characters.

They're a little too Sueish for my tastes, but that's neither here nor there. This will come as no surprise to people who read my stories, but everyone... everyone in my stories have flaws. Delicious, delicious flaws. Flaws are the spice of conflict, and conflict is life for a writer. Without conflict there is no story, at least there's no interesting story. Nothing anyone wants to read about for 200k goddamn words, y'know? So yeah, Sci-Twi is gonna be just as flawed as Sunset and Gilda and Zee and everyone else.

A part of this is due to the fact that, unlike in the original continuity, Sci-Twi actually does have a friend, just one friend, in the form of Zee. Furthermore, she has had this friend for literal years. That is a lot of time for their personalities to influence one another, so Sci-Twi will not be the same sort of completely sheltered shut-in she was at the beginning of Friendship Games. She'll have a little more of her friend's personality in her, because that's how relationships work in real life.

Sunset and Gilda's personalities have influenced one another, with Sunset becoming a little more abrasive and at the same time more take-no-shit to deal with Gilda's occasional bouts of stubbornness and with people who pester her about her wheelchair, while Gilda has become a little more sensitive thanks to her relationship with Sunset. Zee and Sci-Twi are much the same, with Sci-Twi's borderline mad scientist personality becoming a little more hare-brained and wild thanks to Zee's total lack of boundaries in that regard.

That leads me to one last point to make: Sci-Twi is a mad scientist.

Let's not beat around the bush. She is... Sci-Twi is one hundred percent a 'would probably have fit right in underwater in Rapture' mad scientist. She built a machine that drains magic and then cracked it open just to see what would happen. Yes, she was peer-pressured to do it, but the fact that how they got her to do it was just by saying 'don't you want to see? Don't you want to know?' is very telling.

And I love it, I love writing mad scientist Sci-Twi.

So there it is, just a heads up.

Cheers!

Got no complaints from me. Featherfall already goes far outside the norm anyway, might as well add to it.

Dors that mean si-twi us going to be a at least unintentionall antagonist?

already loved the story before, no idea how to describe it now :rainbowlaugh:

keep going my friend, looking forward to more wonderful chapters :scootangel:

And let's not forget that even after she found out her device drained a very unknown 'something' from actual living people, Twilight's reaction was not to put the experiment on hold and stash the device somewhere safe, but to keep using it even when it just keeps draining people and opening rifts to random and dangerous places.

Yeah, Sci-Twi's always been flawed and mad scientist-y. Sunset's snappyness when she confronted Twilight was well warranted.

I only really had one real issue, which was Sci Twi's response at the to Zee pulling a knife on her and all of that poofing out of existence upon the revelation.

That basically means that Sci-Twi's ignorance to Zee's and Gilda's past could end up being a potentially disastrous confrontation. Well at least emotionally anyway.
In any case write on!

"Sci-Twi is one hundred percent a 'would probably have fit right in underwater in Rapture' mad scientist."
...Huh. Interesting way of putting it, but... yeah. Her and Zee, both brilliant, both not caring much about societal norms (even moreso during Rapture's time, with the open lesbianism)... and of course there's Zee's willingness to bring out weapons when her or Twilight are threatened balancing Twilight's greater timidity (though that would presumably be worn away over time)... yeah, from what I know of Bioschock, they might well thrive down there.

She never pulled a knife on Twi, she pulled one on the guy who interrupted her.

4938628
True, but the point they were making still somewhat stands. Even for a shut in with that one friend, she completely forgot the fact that she was gonna get her teeth punched in for accidentally bumping into a stranger, a mild inconvenience at worst, the moment it was revealed that the stranger was pawny. You'd think that somebody that thinks and overthinks as much as Twilight does that it wouldn't just disappear from her mind, online girlfriend or not.

4938672
One slight error you’re making. Twilight doesn’t ‘think and overthink’, she ‘overthinks or doesn’t think’. It’s not that all she does is overthink things, she literally doesn’t think about certain things at all. Especially when it comes to things she’s interested in, in Friendship games you’d think she have been more wary about her magic sucking portal opening accessory but she wasn’t; it’s one of her flaws.

You are a great writer with a great story going here, so just keep doing what you are doing and ignore the Neighsayers, as it is your story and a great one at that.

4938695
Wouldn't really call it not thinking so much as thinking too much on the wing points, so i can kinda see it, but then again in friendship games she didn't get confronted about it until right before releasing the magic and at that point she was immediately pressured into winning and doing what she came to do. Here she went from about to get his ass beat to OMG i love you and what you did never happened just ten seconds ago.

4938743
You make a fair point, and maybe I just took my view of Sci-Twi's knack for ignoring stuff that she doesn't register as mattering a little too far, it's just kind of how I see the character.

I look forward to a science Twi that's not the norm

I honestly prefer this to sci twi being immediately shipped with sunny. It also makes sense that twi is going to go off the reservation when no one tells her to stop and look at what her actions are doing

Hey it's all good. Creative freedoms and all that jazz. Still love the story regardless.
