So I saw the potential gen 5 leaks and in my personal opinion don't like it. The main reason is Twilight, she is an earth pony in the picture and I just don't see it working. Twilight being an Alicorn is something that I loved, and to see that taken away in the potential gen 5 leaks, is very off putting to the point that I want to quit the fandom and never return, but I will give it a chance and see if they can make it work, not just for Twilight, but for all the characters. If they can't somehow make it work, then I will not even watch gen 5 and I will stick with gen 4. The best gen. I will also only write stories from gen 4 and only gen 4, but I know that there will be people that will write gen 5 stories and that's alright, but I personally will not read any of them.

It's hard to see favorite characters being changed without reason. Applejack is country; not from the city. Species changing is ridicious. Twilight is a uni/alicorn not an earth pony. Pinkie doesn't feel right as a pegasus. I might give it a chance; but I don't see it being welcome with open arms
People seem to ingore the fact that what was stolen from Hasbro is very early concept art for G5, and that's it.
Nothing is official or set in stone this far out from it. I'm witholding judgement until we see something official.
I agreed with all of you it's like the Xiaolin shwondown's and Reboot's reboots try to changed the show with some elements of the last show it can't work, I mean I could see why Twilight might want Princess Celestia or Princess Luna to cast the species change spell on her so she could work on her Earth Pony magic and her Pegasus magic since right now she a Alicorn with her Unicorn magic over powered her other two magics. if we look at Alicorn magic as a person then Earth pony magic is the body, Unicorn magic is the mind and lastly Pegasus magic is the spirit which for Twilight to reach her full Alicorn magic then she did to rise both Earth and Pegasus pony magic to equal that of her Unicorn magic.
But that is not a good enough for a super genesis wave reboot.
