Where I've been for the past year... · 6:48am Sep 11th, 2018
Hey, all. I know it's been a long, long time since I've been active on here. To be honest, I'm sure a lot of you guys have given up on me ever updating my stories again. I believe as my audience and friends, you deserve to know where I've been, and why I haven't been really uploading anything here for the past year or so.
I've been basically homeless. I had a job up until about a week ago. I worked at a tool store, unloading the trucks and filling the shelves at night. It wasn't anything substantial enough for an apartment or anything like that, but I made do. I was living out of my car, and things were looking up for a while, I almost had enough money saved up to rent a place for a good six months. Then one night, I was robbed at gunpoint. I had everything stolen from me, even my car. I managed to grab my backpack with my necessities in it such as my phone, a little bit of cash, my I.D. and my survival gear, but the guy took off with my car and everything inside it. I found it the next morning, totaled, looted, and abandoned. I was completely distraught; I had put all of my time and effort into building that car up and making it nice. I'd decided that if I was gonna be homeless, the car that I did stay in would at least be nice and pristine. I had poured about ten thousand dollars into that car, cosmetics and engine parts, and it was laying in a heap before me.
That was four months ago. Since then I kept going to work and stayed on my grind, until I had saved enough to buy another car. I then traded it for a larger sedan which I'm now staying in, and in a few days I have an interview at the post office to become a mailman. Not a millionaire's career, but it pays more than my old job. I'm making do for now, luckily I've made some very good friends that have been an absolute blessing in my life and I can't thank them enough for their help in making sure I had some food in my stomach and clothes on my back. I seriously would probably be dead without those people that I'm proud to call my true family. Now I know this is starting to sound like a sob story, but I wanted to put this all out there for two reasons:
1) To let you guys know that I haven't given up on this amazing portfolio of friends and writing experience I've made here on FiMfiction
2) In hopes of inspiring and giving hope to those of you out there who are also struggling. Keep your head up, don't sweat the bad times because as long as you stay on your grind you'll be okay. My best friend has a saying that I love to think of when it gets hard and I wanna give up: slow feet don't eat!
So whatever you're going through, trust and believe me when I tell you if you keep making your best effort to improve yourself, things will start to turn up for you. Thank all of you so much for your continuous love and support, and I'm going to try to get back on track with these stories. If I get this new job I'll actually have days off every week, giving me some time to focus on this stuff more.
If any of you are wondering: I've stayed in contact with my co-writer of Canterlot High, Ringmaster1336, and we do plan on continuing the story, but it will take longer to get chapters out since we don't have as compatible of a schedule as we used to.
