Sure Cozy Glow was bad, but was she as bad as Starlight who almost DESTROYED FUCKING TIME?
Starlight got let off with a snapshot redemption
Tempest Shadow terrorised Equestria, forced the land into slavery and she got a snapshot redemption
Stygian was THE PONY OF FUCKING DARKNESS and he got let off with a snapshot redemption

I'm pretty sure it was referring to the time that would take place at. Also, that could throw the world into utter chaos, perhaps even more so than Cozy's magic thievery.
Also, the difference is that Cozy didn't show even a flash of regret. In fact, she may have been even more vicious than before. I get the feeling she's an unredeemable villain like Tirek.
They didn't question a foal running the school because she was known as very responsible and good, and they themselves were foals, so they'd be happy with it (and they did show a little bit of hesitance, so it's fine either way).
The mini arc will happen in season 9.
Uh, how would they summon him, exactly? Also, it's possible that even his magic had been sucked away. It's been shown that it can happen.
It had problems, but I found it to at least be a very entertaining finale.
Taking a tv show a bit far aren't you? I found the final very good now I can understand the issues with Starlight also I doubt that Cozy was a foal she acted more adult then half of anything also I doubt it killed the show.
What are you talking about? Cozy's last appearance was in What Lies Beneath. The season ends with Father Knows Beast.

Starlight Glimmer showed herself capable of shock, regret and remorse for her actions. Cozy Glow has shown no such capacity...and is also probably batshit crazy on a level that makes the Joker look sane.
I object less to her being locked away in Tartarus, and more to her being locked away seemingly without a trial. Though admittedly, I'd have preferred she be executed for her crimes. You disagree with that, fine, but I hope you can respect my opinion as I respect yours.

I don't disagree with execution, although can you execute a child, really? Along those lines, why wasn't Starlight, Tempest and Stygian executed? Those three MAY have expressed remorse, but you have to admit their crimes were far worse than Cozy Glow's ever were.
Cozy stole magic.
Starlight tried to rip apart the fabric of time and destroy the universe. Tempest and Stygian did what they did. The fact is they were offered redemptions with absolutely NO consequences for their crimes whatsoever and here, a foal is sentenced to a maximum security prison.

Perhaps I expect too much from a TV show. Then again, I know the creators can do better. Return to Harmony, A Canterlot Wedding, The Crystal Empire, Twilight's Kingdom and Rainbow Rocks are all examples of the creators doing better!
School Raze by comparison was phoned in, by the numbers trash.

I was hoping that in this finale Hasbro would break the cycle of the snapshot redemption with no consequences that has been prevalent in MLP FIM since Starlight Glimmer - this includes Tempest, Stygian, Wallflower Blush, Vignette - but at the same time I was hoping it would be a more deserving criminal, like Chrysalis, for instance.
Had Cozy Glow revealed herself to be Chrysalis, then yes! Imprison her! But a foal? When all the others have been let off with zero consequences, it's a foal that gets sent to a maximum security prison.

Well, yeah, Season 8 finale was a little weird, and in my view, probably the scariest. Like that last shot of Cozy Glow saying to Tirek "Wanna be friends?", I was like; "Dang, the show's taking a darker turn!". But what matters I think that after the end of another season, we have Season 9 to look forward to and the end of G4 ponies.
Also, another poor performance from Starlight.

Yeah, this blog was a bit of a rant, I'm afraid.
Usually I can forgive episodes of MLP for being what they are, but School Raze really angered me in a way no other has since season four's Filli Vanilli, Trade Ya and Testing 1,2,3.

Yeah, I would say this was an emotional rant. I have had those myself only once, with "Uncommon Bond." That was the biggest pile of horse shit episode ever created in any show, ever. Now I didn't say that it killed the series but it did anger me quite a bit. With you saying they killed FiM with that finale, I take it you will no longer watch?
