A while ago I wrote a little poem that reminded me of princess Luna, which is why I'm posting it here. I'm happy to hear any thoughts or constructive criticism!
The Moon
The Moon shines brightly in the sky,
clear and white in dark she lies,
accompanied by stars, so bright.
The Moon looks down upon the earth,
she sees a world of war and fights,
when humankind turns off their light.
Next to the Sun the Moon looks small,
for Sun burns bright, outshines them all,
with her glistening dream's delight.
But the Moon knows that she alone,
shining starlight through the night,
can gift the earth a brighter light.
That's a really nice little poem, and one easy to apply a rhythm to when reading it, which is always a hard spot when it comes to poetry. Well done!
