    Lordy, how time flies!

It has reached the real life date during which the beginning of MLP EG Forever takes place. It seems like not that long ago I started writing it, thinking this timeline was a long way off, yet here we are.

Mandatory Megadeth #1 · 4:39am Aug 30th, 2018

One of my very favourite bands is Megadeth. I’ve been listening to them for years, since about 2001—the year I graduated from high school.
Their first album debuted in 1985, with their second the following year, all the way up to their fifteenth and most recent release, which came out in early 2016.

So, uh... why the fuck am I talking about this?

Well, simply put, there have been a number of occasions where Megadeth lyrics have inspired certain lines of dialogue in ‘MLP EG Forever,’ and some lines will be/have been close or direct quotes to some of their songs.

In recognition of this, I am going to post, in segments, the 1992 album ‘Countdown to Extinction’ —a classic calamity of riffs, rich with technical mastery and sharp political lyrics; one of the greatest metal records of all time. (Just my opinion, of course. Any of you are welcome to a differing opinion, but just be aware that it is wrong. Sorry.)— at regular intervals until it is finished; eleven tracks in all.

And if you don’t like it, then...

Up first is Skin O’ My Teeth. This is the opening track of the album: about a failed suicide attempt. Because of the content of this track, they had a tough time getting MTV to play this one when it was first released, despite the album’s popularity—which hit #2 on The Billboard chart, second only to Billy Ray Cyrus’ ‘Achy-Breaky Heart.’ :rainbowwild:
