Two-Sided Series Update: Act I's Plot Revision and Eventual Publication · 9:16am Aug 24th, 2018

Eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

I will admit I am surprised that whenever I do these update blogs, people are still patiently waiting for the prequel and sequel. Not to say that I am not grateful, it just surprises me. Don't worry! I am actually very pumped right now, so let's get to the title of this blog.

I'll be honest, I never thought I would have to tweak Act I as much as I have over this last year and a half. But I am glad that I have been making more sensible adjustments to allow things to make more sense. The ending to Act I still solidified, but even that might change a little. I've been working hard on the same thing, the same phrase I live by: making sense.

No joke, ever since the point of the climax of Who you Work for when Celestia shows her true colors and I got some solid criticism against her choice of character, I've been very cautious when creating very tense moments. My current story, No Hugs, as great as it has been to write, has also been a very stressful endeavor. That risk is always there, the risk of messing up everything I built up. I get this is my hobby, but this is still my story, and I want quality to be placed in everything I do. It's just who I am, hence the pushback.

The additions to Act I will surprise you, I hope. The former is what is being considered more than you might think.

The publication of not just the first act, but also the prequel is still up in the air. I really hate to not have a solid date, but I am going to push for the start of next year AT LATEST. A lot of story ideas, current projects, and contests have swallowed my priorities, unfortunately. This is why I have chosen to work on one, maybe two projects in conjunction with one another and allow consistent updates.

I am, however, pushing myself when it comes to writing again. I have regained my spark. I have been writing for at least one hour a day. To me, that isn't enough, but I am only human. There is only so much I can do to my brain. Some say there is no such thing as writer's block. I say, "Do you have Aspergers? 'Cause that nonsense can really interfere even when I want to write."

For anyone following No Hugs, you will notice I've been very keen on updating the story. That's because I want to finish it as fast and efficient as possible. It is time to stop messing around and delaying chapters because "I don't feel like it" at times. When I work hard, I feel alive, which is why I am writing this at 2 am. Writing is my passion. I will fulfill my promise and complete my projects.

Sometimes I look at people's library of published stories and see if they have finished most of their stories in order to motivate myself. If I see their ratio is more/ all completed stories, I tell myself, "This is what your readers want, a finished story"; If their ratio has even a fair amount of incomplete stories, I banter myself, saying, "Do you want this to happen to your stories? An unfinished mess? A plot with no conclusion? DO YOU?!" This is why I don't publish as often. I want to be sure I have an at least half-way finished project.

I have a lot I do want to work on for the remainder of this year, both in writing and in real life. It's time to be real and an adult (he says as he is about to write silly fan fiction). Besides, I have my own original ideas boiling over a flame (wait, wut?).

Freak, out.
