Right, so it's probably obvious I'm not really one for blogging. However, I'm finally getting a sequel out to my best rated story Time. It's called How Time Flies, it deals with actual death as opposed to just worrying about it and is generally a lot more depressing so get ready for that thrill ride. It's three chapters but is for all intents and purposes still a one-shot.
The entire reason I'm blogging about it is to explain why both stories are such a weird pairing to anyone who might have been wondering. Basically, I've always quite liked the whole immortal and mortal relationship thing where they have to deal with death. Hardly the most original concept, especially on this site, but I like it all the same. The most obvious choice here would be Twilight x Celestia but if I'm ever going to write something romantic it's going to have Rarity in it.
In 2014 I became an admin in a group dedicated to Rarity and Celestia as well as Rarity x Celestia called Marshmallow Shipping because, once again, I like Rarity a lot. There was a one word story prompt thread and I did one because I thought it would be fun, and this turned into the fic 'Time' which became longer than the word limit so I released it as a one-shot on my own profile. It ended up doing not too terribly and I always had an idea for a sequel but never got round to writing it but finally have. Now you know the boring story you never asked for in the first place.
Added to this, a couple of things since I deleted all my old blog posts. Firstly if you like my writing, check out Predictable Drunks for more sad romantic Rarity. It's a fic that tries to deal with trauma surrounding sexuality, and also have a peek at Inconsistency because I genuinely think it's the best thing I've ever written.
For shit that might be coming in the future, Statistically The Worst Birthday Ever will also set up a Rarity x Twilight sequel at some point but I might just write that before I finish the STWBE anyway. Also I'm working on a follow up to Predictable Drunks centring entirely on Rarity but it's genuinely a very tricky kind of story so don't know when that'll be out.
Oh hey, surprise blog with reading suggestions. Guess I have some things to check out!
