A little update about my book · 9:28pm Aug 18th, 2018
This is just a little update about what's going on with me. I already told you guys that I was working on a novel, and it's going very well. In fact, a publisher just showed interest in the project. Obviously, it's too early for me to give any details, but things are looking bright.
What I can do is talk a little bit about the book itself. The title is "Opt Out", and it's a science-fiction novel set in the near future. The story deals with a widespread technology known as smart implants. Essentially, think of all the features of a modern smart phone, but in an implant plugged directly into the nervous system.
The main character, Aaron, is a tech consultant and free, open source software activist who's suspicious of the technology and opposes a government plan to give out free implants to the entire population. This is mainly due to the proprietary nature of the technology; only two companies manufacture implants. The novel deals with both Aaron's attempts to better understand how implants work, and the struggles of rejecting a technology more and more people embrace.
Obviously, this is quite different from Sunny Days or any of the other stories I posted here. Still, I hope a few of you are interested enough to give it a shot once it comes out. I'll keep you all posted, and thank you for your patience. Writing a book takes time.

You will, eventually. I'd say that I'm currently at the last rewrite, which for most chapters just involves minor fixes. Hopefully editing can start in a few months.
