I don't normally watch Anime. I have actively avoided getting into that hole of depression and waifu-worship. But then my friends gave me a list.
Oh gods this is gonna be pretty unexciting...
So then I start with a random one on the list that I happened to see was on Netflix...
So basically, when you make your wish, your soul gets pulled out of your body and you get a gem, and after that, whenever you get super depressed you turn into a being of evil, which is then killed to prevent other people with the gems from getting super depressed, but all that's been retconned by a person who wished to become a god.
Gods, Anime can be weird...

It's supposedly a darker take on the magical girls genre, according to my friend who's a weeb. Also, my blog post was laden with spoilers for it so good job I guess.

Oh that anime, I've already seen it then, still need to watch the movies. The description you gave made it sound like a newer series that came out since the villains are witches created from the wishes and all.
