One of Trixie's best-known traits in the fandom is that she speaks in the third person all the time. But does she really? Turns out, no one has ever counted the times she says "I." Until now...

Hat Man Reviews: "Haze" by Bandy!

Haze is a story that is filled with big ideas: Cloud empires. Flying earth ponies. Ancient religions. Superpower-inducing fungi. Unfortunately, much like the mushroom-munching ponies in this story, this story might be biting off more than it can handle…

Back in the Saddle! (And also... thank you. Yes, you.) · 7:20am Aug 15th, 2018

You may recall how about a month ago, I reported on being laid off from my job. Well, I am now happy to report that I've found another teaching job right here in my beloved Houston! :yay: Now, before I get too caught up in that, I want to just say something: thank you. To you specifically.
You see, if you've been following my work, and especially if you've commented on my stories, then you've helped keep me going. You see, when I'm feeling blue, I go back and browse the comments on The Iron Horse and such, and seeing all the heartfelt, touching, and hilarious comments from everyone has helped me keep up my spirits and confidence. From the very bottom of my heart, thank you. And expect more stories in the near future. :raritywink:

Ah, glad to hear the good news, and that you've been getting that boost from the comments. :)

Without my colleagues and collaborators (i.e. you and the other editors) helping me to write the best stories possible, I doubt I would have received such a warm reception. You have my thanks as well.

You're welcome, and I'm happy to help. :)

Are you still teaching the same subject?

Good news! :pinkiehappy:

your work is always a joy to read, your stories are the ones i'm always 100% excited to read.

Congrats on finding the new job man.

Wonderful! I'm really happy that you found a new school to teach there :yay:

And at least we have to thank you too! It's your work which make us laugh, talk and making jokes. Believe me when I say I never read a fanfiction with such interest until "The Iron Horse"

Wish you luck, buddy!

You're welcome. :derpytongue2:

Grats on getting right back on the.... horse. School starts... well this week, here. Get to crackin'

No, now I'm teaching Language Arts. I hope to return to ESL again someday, but I need to go through some extra hoops to teach it in public school.

There is nothing beloved about Houston traffic! :flutterrage:

Congrats man! You got this!

You said it. I love Houston, but the traffic here is the worst.

In fact, because my new job would involve a commute, I'm probably going to have to move from my apartment which I really love just to avoid a daily commute on (shudder) the West Loop.

W00t!!! Congratulations!! A new job means new opportunities, as well as a cash flow that doesn't involve eating savings.

Good luck! 頑張れ〜!
