Believe it or not, I actually got some chores done today.

And that's saying something, because if Diablo IV was this good at any point last year, it would have definitely been near the top of my Best Games of 2023. You know, instead of being omitted entirely.

So let's just say that Armored Core VI absolutely just got smacked out of the running for Best Yesteryear Game.

    Updates and Such

Well, as a thunderstorm rolls overhead (and hopefully doesn't knock power out), I thought I'd offer some updates on what I've been up to.

Long story short, I'm pretty much in gaming overload at the moment.

Personal Gaming Achievements Are The Best · 5:44pm Aug 10th, 2018

A couple nights ago I didn't think I could pull it off, but after beating NFS The Run on Extreme difficulty, my last personal goal for that game was to get my in-game time under two hours. After downloading an offline save file with all cars unlocked (since trying to do the same with mine are very impractical or even impossible nowadays), I gave it another shot, and lo and behold:

West Coast
12:47.19

National Park
10:22.94

Death Valley
13:19.86

Desert Hills
11:33.88

The Rockies
14:42.91

The Plains
11:25.24

Chicago Approach
11:30.77

The Great Lakes
10:31.64

State Forest
8:58.50

East Coast
14:36.81

TOTAL
01:59:49.50

All thanks to probably the most unexpected sleeper in the game, the '76-83 Volkswagen Golf GTI. The cornering of that thing is absolutely insane.

So... What to do now? I guess I could write some more, hehe.

Now that shows the difference between virtual and the real world. I've driven a Mk1 Golf Gti, the handling is not bad , the real world performance is so so, but the brakes were terrible. The Peugeot 205 Gti was a far better car.

Yeah and it's also probably a car I can't fit into.

I'm 6'4".

The Peugeots came with quite a big sliding sunroof as I recall, you'll be fine.

Hey, he’s still alive afterall
