I'm 20 years old? What sort of a scam is this? I don't feel 20. I live in my own apartment, pay bills, work 8-5, drive my own car, listen to NPR, and vote... but... fuck, I don't feel like an adult. I suppose LEGALLY I'm not an "adult" yet, since I can't purchase booze... but still. I'm no longer a teenager, I suppose.
Feels weird, growing up and looking both back and forward. I suppose, unlike most people my age, I do actually see where I'll be in the next 5-10 years; working the job I'm currently working, since they want me to be the manager of the construction section of the company (we build sports lighting, you know, the big ass lights on football fields?). But, at the same time, I don't really know where I'll be in terms of myself. Where I'll be spiritually, where I'll be in terms of happiness or what hobby I'll have. I hope I keep writing, but it's honestly been hard to sit down and put good words onto the screen.
I dunno, birthdays always bring that feeling of "shit, that's another tally on the board, now what?".
At this point I'm just rambling, lol. I just wanted to say that it's my birthday. Is it weird to tell people? Usually Facebook tells everyone, but I cut myself off from that cancer ball of a site. Not that my Facebook and FimFic were linked, lol.
Anyway, I guess happy birthday to me! On the note of writing... chapter 8 of Life In Boxes is sort of happening. I'm back in that rut of not liking this story because it simply isn't going where I'd like it to. Honestly, I'm really considering canceling it and writing some of the other ideas I've got. Who knows, maybe the good words will come eventually.
