New Short Story, but... a little different.

Alright, so this one is... special. This is the first story that I've written while being helped by the guys over at the School for New Writers group. This was done as a part of their monthly writing prompt, which is found on both my story and in the forums of the group itself.

I have to say, this was a wonderfully good learning experience. I probably learned a bunch about not just writing in general, but about myself. The story itself might feel a little different as a result, so let me know what you guys think. It's a longer short story compared to what I usually write, but it's also part of how my style will probably shift in the process; I'm legitimately excited for the first time in a good while to see where I can go.

I want to keep improving, even if it's little by little.
