Season 8 episode 14: A matter of Principals

Welp. What happened?

Honestly. What Was That? I have never seen character development be retconned so fast and so violently in my life.

Oh.

Scratch that. I'm forgetting about the Spike episodes...

Seriously if Spike is the new Twilight, Discord is the new Spike.

Basically: In this episode Discord completely throw out of the window the rare but amazing character development he had in previous episodes or seasons (Mentioning episodes like the end of season four, Discordant Harmony and Breakup's breakdown), and he basically just becomes a villain again? Overall just more agressive and less rational. At least in the other bad Discord episodes he had a minimal excuse to act, he tried to do something about his problems. This episode? Nope. He just throws the biggest power tantrum because he feels "excluded."

This is why I don't care about people complaining about G5. Sometimes it's good to get a reset. MLP has waaaay too messy of a writing, where you can even remove episodes and it won't affect the characters at all. Welp. The visuals were a delight but ugh, they gotta stop excusing a bad writting upon tons of visual gags. Discord has so much potential... What a waste.

Also someone just swap Starlight for Sunset. Would make the show 10 times better.
