Is it Possible to Forget the Night Before Without Having Been High or Drunk? · 12:20am Oct 30th, 2012
Okay, I know this sounds completely mental, but I Pinkie Swear that I forgot all of last night. Before any of you ask, no, I wasn't drinking (I'm fifteen, for Faust's sake!) and I am a strict anti-drug advocate. Then, when I woke up, not only had I finished a new chapter of Becoming Rainbow Dash, but I also had a tumblr (screw tumblr, by the way)... Can someone tell me how this is possible?!

Maybe you did something your brain classified as "Useless" and dumped it to the recycling bin.
I don't know, to be honest.

It could only be short term memory loss brought by something that happened to you the night before...
May Celestia have mercy on you...
Happens to me all the time. Sometimes I'm in the middle of a sentence and forget what I was talking about. One time I forgot two years of my life for about a day. That's why, when on the internet, I always leave myself a small note of everything I do, or need to do, just in case I have another memory blackout. Although, on the bright side, it's always nice to find out that you've already done a piece of work you don't remember doing.
Still don't know why it happens though.
When you live in the world for a while, you learn a rule: Shit happens. I forget stuff all the time.
I'd say it's possible to forget a whole night. The mind has been known to forget things that it deems as unnecessary, like an hour of staring at a clock only to watch a whole hour pass will be remembered as if it was only a moment, because all the bits in between the beginning and the end are full of nothing.
So, maybe you just didn't think anything you did was important enough to remember.
I know it usually happens to me when I either have too little to remember or too much to remember. As for the not important idea, it makes sense, and ties in.
