My dad loves Hallmark Christmas movies, even when it isn't anywhere near Christmas time. I've started to notice a pattern with some of them.
Tell me if you've seen this one before...
Hard working City Girl works for Big-Biznus Corp. It's almost Christmas, but City Girl doesn't have any family to go home to because she's career-focused City Girl. So Big-Biznus Corp decides to send her on a biznus trip to some remote small town location for biznus reezuns.
With not nearly enough fuss, City Girl sets off for Small Town to do biznus.
Upon arriving, she struggles with some part of finding a place to stay. Just in passing, she receives some small help from the suspiciously handsome Country Boy.
After establishing herself there and beginning her work, she discovers that Country Boy happens to be directly involved with the biznus stuff she needs to do. They end up interacting quite a bit, and during this time, develop romantic feelings for each other.
City Girl soon sees that Big-Biznus Corp's plans would be super sad for the people of Small Town, and she begins to waver in her biznus resolve, even with frequent calls from Manager Guy.
However, before she can find a solution to her wishy washiness, Country Boy learns of Big-Biznus Corp's plans. Disillusioned with City Girl because of this knowledge, Country Boy gets mad at City Girl, and they split up without talking about it.
City Girl gets sad, but quickly comes to realize that she loves the people of Small Town (and Country Boy) more than she loves her career, so she resolves to help Small Town fight off Big-Biznus Corp.
So Small Town and City Girl work with each other! Country Boy sees this, regrets his pettiness, and joins in the work. Together, they manage to fight off Big-Biznus Corp's evil plans.
And City Girl and Country Boy decide to get together again, right in time for Christmas!
It begins to snow, and they live happily ever after!

PS: I've excluded common details like Coworker Bro, who City Girl often complains to about her biznus woes, Motherly Figure Lady, who manages the inn where City Girl ends up staying, and the fact that City Girl was probably engaged to Coworker Bro, Manager Guy, or Rando Man before heading out to Small Town.
Don't forget the lady who plays city girl will be in the next regular halmark movie as yearning for love mom or regular schmoe. Believe me I live with my grandparents and the halmark channel is all they watch. You start to see the same familiarities in all halmark movies. Afterall Hallmark creates like ten movies a day at their studio or so I read somewhere
That I've read someone else's take on this at some point in the past and it was basically the same is just evidence of this plot's universality--at least on the Hallmark channel.
