    Tradition

This one's particular poignant. Singing this on January 1 is a twelve year tradition at this point.

    So fun facts
    1) Did you know you don't have to be epileptic to have seizures?
    2) and if you have a seizure lasting longer than five minutes you just straight out have a 20% chance of dying in the next thirty days, apparently

Two Martyrs Fall for Each Other

Here’s where I talk about this new story, 40,000 words long and written in just over a week. This is in no way to say it’s rushed, quite the opposite; It wouldn’t have been possible if I wasn’t so excited to put it out. I would consider A Complete Lack of Jealousy from All Involved a prologue more than a prequel, and suggested but not necessary reading.

    Commissions Open: An Autobiography

Commission rates $20USD per 1,000 words. Story ideas expected between 4K-20K preferable. Just as a heads up, I’m trying to put as much of my focus as I can into original work for publication, so I might close slots quickly or be selective with the ideas I take. Does not have to be pony, but obviously I’m going to be better or more interested in either original fiction or franchises I’m familiar

    Blinded by Delight

My brain diagnosis ended up way funnier than "We'll name it after you". It turned out to be "We know this is theoretically possible because there was a recorded case of it happening once in 2003". It turns out that if you have bipolar disorder and ADHD and PTSD and a traumatic brain injury, you get sick in a way that should only be possible for people who have no

    EFNW

I planned on making it this year but then ran into an unfortunate case of the kill-me-deads. In the moment I needed to make a call whether to cancel or not, and I knew I was dying from something but didn't know if it was going to be an easy treatment or not.

Wholesome Rage: Winning Hearts and Minds - The Pentagon in Hollywood · 7:50pm Jun 26th, 2018

This is definitely one of the best articles I've written so far, or at least one of the coollest.

“The content of film and television is directly, regularly and secretly determined by the US government, led by the CIA and Pentagon.” The Director of the Office of War Information, Elmer Davis, explained in 1942: “The easiest way to inject a propaganda idea into most people’s minds is to let it go through the medium of an entertainment picture when they do not realize that they are being propagandized.”

Ok, Sounds interesting. Lol

...and Lindsay Moran (Cars 2: The Video Game).

I assume she really is former CIA, but I feel like you slipped that one in just to make sure we were still paying attention.

In any case, thoroughly disquieting stuff. I suspected some of it, but I'd had no idea how pervasive it was.

I have no idea what you're talking about

Damn, that blog post needs to be a recurring series. There's so much to say about each instance.

I'm here every week

Fuck the USA, fuck imperialism, fuck the military, fuck the CIA, etc.

Needs a follow-up about how the Pentagon bankrolls prominent fanfiction writers to support certain fantasy settings that promote a global surveillance statefriendship map and has a benevolent hegemonic power that stop threats with hellfire missilesrainbow lasers.

Speaking of ridiculously minute control, I have a friend who did FX on the latest Thor movie. He had to change Thor's 3D stand-in model because the "order" came down from on high that the thunder god's long hair made him look like a "fucking peacenik hippie." Now I think I know where that came from. :rainbowlaugh:

Working in the film industry, the best I've ever heard is what the US producers called my Australian mates working on the Pirates of the Caribbean set: "White Mexicans"

*sigh* :facehoof:

There are times I think it might be a good thing that we're rapidly headed for a third-world culture, economy, and status... but then I remember how many nukes we have.

Jesus fucking Christ.... :twilightoops:

I'm now wondering how much control they have not just in Hollywood, but other legitimate foreign film areas. Spanish novelas certainly see a lot of that War on Drugs narrative, yet a closer look at which one tries to make both sides sympathetic versus one over the other, and which one gets more marketing and seems more popular.

The new Sicario movie might be interesting to watch, thinking of how ICE might be involved...
