Much like ponies, my eyes are bigger than my stomach.

I have a tendency to think up a great idea then way, way, way overdo my planning for it. The recent project is a good example of this (it was epic in scope), as is a DROD RPG hold I started that would end up being more complex than any published hold.
More salient to y'all, my Secret Megaproject is in fact more of a Gigaproject, and this scope is one of the things that has stymied progress on it. So I've decided to work on a prequel to the project and post that one first.
This means I'm going to be PAUSING the project progress bar for the time being. The prequel should be easier to write and post, and I'm going to pump a lot of my spare time into seeing it to fruition. 
(...and yes, I'll still be updating TSJ and Irreversible.)
I know the feeling. I still don't know how I'm gonna do my World of Warcraft/Dr. Seuss political thriller crossover story as the sixth entry into the Faux Pas canon. Not to mention the major Canterlot-destroying story that's supposed to follow it.
I haven't even started on entry three yet
Best of luck to you. Try to get into the groove, write when you can, edit when you must, do not rush a publication. Don't let rest become rust, and you can do it.
