    *eye roll*

me checking the dislike ratio on my new story

Glad to know bigotry is still alive and well in this fandom.

It's glad to see some of us didn't watch the same series as I did.

    So where I've been

Okay, uh... how do I begin this? Well, I suppose I should start with the obvious. Yes, I've been distracted. If you follow me on Archive that should be obvious. And if you don't, you totally should btw. Yes, I'm shameless.

Wild Access related opinions. · 10:42pm Jun 13th, 2018

Okay, so I need your opinions on a few things related to... well, exactly what it says on the tin really. Okay, firstly, the Riders. I plan on bringing in two more. Yes, two. Won't tell you who gets to wear the fancy suits, but I will tell you which Riders are planned to appear, namely Double and Zangetsu. Now, if you don't care about any of that, you can skip on ahead to the second thing that I'm bringing up.

Zangetsu, as shown in this piece of frankly brilliant fan art below, isn't that much different from Twilight in her Baroness attire, just themed after a Samurai instead of a Knight.

Now Double, or W if you prefer to pronounce his name in the Japanese form of speech, is a bit different. He is actually two riders in one. Both wear belts, as is custom to this series, but once both transformation trinkets have been inserted, both people share the same body, with one's mind going to the person who began the transformation, the body left behind becoming vulnerable. Now, like all Riders, Double has a bike. And something else as shown below, which basically aside from being an APC, provides different attachments to the bike to make it a hovercraft or something else.

...Er, probably should have talked about Power Rangers first and then eased you into this right? Agh, anyways, the second thing I wanted to bring up. Now, Shagohad12, who is majoring in English and minoring in creative writing brought up the fact that nobody has made a military response to the villains like Thrax and Retinax. Now, before you say but this almost never happens in Power Rangers official fiction, doesn't mean it shouldn't happen here. Because seriously, in real life, a military response would happen. I mean, look at Time Force, the Silver Guardians were created, mind you as a private security firm, and then there was Lightspeed, who were created to battle Bansheera.

So, two options me and Shagohad argued over, and eventually, we decided to put it up to the readers. One, a force that uses scrapped Ranger powers, an actual military force created as a national response. Basically, something like Lord Drakkon's Ranger Sentries but less messed up led by Agent Sweetie Drops/Bon-Bon in her personal customized suit.

Secondly, something like the Silver Guardians, ponies with weaponry but no Ranger suits. Created by someone detestable like Wind Rider or Neighsay with... well, basically the same function as the Guardians, to protect the rich. I prefer Wind Rider myself, as it creates good family Drama with Lightning for obvious reasons, but then again it might copy Time Force too closely. So, maybe Neighsay's the better option.

Anyways, your thoughts on all of these things are really, very much appreciated.

Why not both? I like the Bon Bon option as Celestia could have acquired the stuff from Drakkon’s forces. It would work both ways as we have one group that will be inspired by the rangers and the other would be the cheep knockoffs who always get the Worf affect. But if I had to choose go with the Bon Bon choice.

I ah... sorta forgot to mention this, but I've solved the Discord situation. Simple reason why he hasn't been mentioned, no-one wants to bring him up, for obvious reasons.

Concerning the military response: for the first option, would they be using Ranger powers from previous generations of Power Rangers, or entirely new powers that were made after studying Ranger tech like Robert's SPD Morpher? For the second option, why not use Blueblood as the founder of the Guardian-esque force? Unless he had a bigger part in the Drakkon story, haven't really caught up in that. . .

Ooh! Maybe Spoiled Rich could play a part in the creation of the Guardian wannabes?

Most likely, they'd be using previous Ranger Powers, instead of me thinking entirely new ones up. (Well, one could argue the 'New Powers' from Megashit could work although I'm trying to shy away from the more Super Sentai-only teams.)

As for Blueblood, the only role he's had in Reign of the Drakkon is of the mysterious gentleman thief, and even this is an alternate universe Blueblood, named Kamen Rider Lupin. So really, the Wild Access Blueblood exists, he just hasn't been mentioned at all aside from a passing remark by Galaxy I think it was. Could have been Lupin, not sure.

Blueblood just has the personality, outlook, and influence to get something like the Silver Guardians off the ground.

In all honesty, I prefer the actual military force created as a national response. Shining Armor could even be one of the leaders of said force, as he is the Magna Defender.

I have to ask, what do you think of me bringing in Double and Zangetsu? ...I meant to ask this in the main post, slipped my mind I guess.

Okay, fair enough. But on the Shining bit, you must remember, he's also the Prince of the Empire, which is pretty far removed from the rest of Equestria. He can't exactly just hop to anywhere in Equestria on the drop of a hat. At most, he'd be head of the branch in the Empire.

Unfortunately I am not as familiar with the riders as I am with Power Rangers and Super Sentai.

As you stated if you went with the Silver Gaurdians like group it would rehash a majority of their plot. Celestia could find out about them and just force them to protect everyone. To get this group to work there must be some serious descent in Equestria and ponies not feeling that she and the Rangers are going enough. Keep in mind I believe she has publicly used Ranger Powers so only a small minority of individuals would be requesting the service.

The route using Bon Bon would work the best I think as you could use Wind Rider as a corrupt squad leader who is taking bribes to protect the rich and inflate his ego. While Neighsay would be very Maria Hill like government representative and trying to prevent the Rangers from stepping up becuase they are outside of the chain of command.
