Assorted Updates, Plans, and What the Hell Is With All the Beans?

So yeah, if you follow me here, you've probably noticed that my last three posted stories are all set in the highly deranged, but oddly compelling Beanis Cinematic Universe. If you haven't read these stories and like highly silly absurd sex comedy, you should do so. Despite the main... (tries not to say "thrust." Fails.) thrust of the story, it's not clop, and any "on-screen" sexual shenanigans are done more for comedy than titillation.

That said, let me clarify some things. While there are a lot of Beanis stories, not all of them are officially part of the "canon" storyline being developed. That's why there's a folder in the BCU group page labeled "Fan Works." My first Beanis story, "Y'all Need Beanis," is a fan work and is not part of the official storyline. The other two are.

So anything in the Fanworks folder does not affect the story in any way. Phase 1, Interim, and Phase 2 make up the main plot line, with the "Extended Beanis Continuity" being primarily side stories. Maijin Seekyoh, the mastermind behind this insanity, has helpfully pinned a timeline guide for those interested at the top of the forum.

Now that that's out of the way, here's what's happening with me: I'm working on one more Beanis story for Phase 2 of the BCU, then will be taking a break from this universe until Phase 3 gets underway. Once that story is done, it'll be back to the usual nonsense from me, including Jeers and Charming in Las Pegasus and the one-shot Sunset Shimmer Watches The Last Unicorn. Consequences will be coming once Jeers & Charming is finished. Phase 3 Beanis stories will be peppered here and there between these other projects.

A Is For... is proving to be difficult because I'm still trying to figure out what the "A" for both Pinkie and Rainbow are, as well as plot out the ending of the story. Hence the delay in getting that one done.

So there you have it. An update and an explanation. I make no apologies for the side trip into the beany underbelly of this site.

I always get a chuckle out of the Beanis fics. Your contributions to the main line were great. I look forward to seeing the rest of the smash and grab storyline.
