My last blog entry was almost four years until this one I'm currently writing. Time sure flies.
I'm sorry to say, but it looks like I'm out of stories to tell. While I do still watch FiM, it doesn't drive me to write like before; it's also highly probable that I already got the creative drive(?) out of my system.
Personally, I've been keeping up with the show until this time. The animators of the show here in the Philippines heard about the Facebook pony group I'm part of and were touched enough to invite us to a smaller, less-bombastic, but-still-legitimate world premiere of the film back in October of last year. I know that the film isn't perfect by any means; but just being there with old and new friends, as well as the talented people who poured blood, sweat, and tears into bringing these characters to the big screen was a truly magical experience. No joke, I sprained my right hip and knee from bouncing up and down so frequently.
What else?
It looks like I'm part of the fandom that likes Starlight. I liked her story arcs. I do see the Sue bits though. Love her hair.
I haven't willed myself to watch anything relating to Equestria Girls after Legend of Everfree (not even Forgotten Friendship). I don't know if it's just me, but EqG feels a little bit pointless unless it's in the form of a movie. Seeing the shorts and musicals just make me feel even more that the spin-off is banal.
Last March, I earned my doctorate in Medicine - the very same course that depressed me enough to watch a cartoon about little ponies in a magic-filled world. In my last blog entry, I hadn't even qualified to be a clerk in the hospital.
These days, I pop in and out of FIMfiction to read up on good slice-of-life and romance stuff. I'm very happy to see the more experienced writers be more tenacious than I and just keep at it. It warms my heart, honestly.
