Random Headcanon: Sunburst and Sunset are the Same Pony, Pre- and Post-Transition

Brainstorming Update · 11:56am May 18th, 2018

Hey Everypony, just wanted to do a quick follow-up post:

I've been doing some thinking, and I think I've found a solution that works for me. It's going to be a little challenging--but hey, I like a challenge. Specifics in the spoiler block below:

The current plan is to mostly excise Discord. Instead of us witnessing the Discord subplot, several characters will reveal bits and pieces over time--sorta like how I treated the fashion show in the "Dance of the Firebird" chapter. On one hand, I'm excited for what this means for Cece herself--but on the other, I'm sad to see Discord go. He was shaping up to be so fun to write. It's possible I'll release Discord as its own story later, but for now, I'm going to focus on dear ol' Cece.
