Story Revival Poll! Please Read Carefully! · 1:51am May 8th, 2018
Exposition warning: Long-winded explanation ahead, if you wish to get to the point of this blog without all the fluff, skip to the second paragraph, otherwise, read ahead knowing that you will get the entire story about this book I was once in the process of writing.
Well everypony, I have an announcement to make, and it might not be something you are expecting to hear from an author such as myself. I have a story known as The Alaskan Unicorn (link attached below), and it has come afoul of the terrible disease known as Writer's Block and has been discontinued until further notice. The book is only a chapter long and yet it flashed in the pan like a 30-06 round detonating on publication day, acquiring over 3K views and over 200 likes in the span of a few hours, leaving me feeling so overwhelmed that the plot in my mind shriveled up and died like an ant under a magnifying glass. Needless to say, I have been unable to continue the story up till now, and many ponies have asked if I plan on finishing the book anytime soon. Thus, I am going to open a poll for my faithful readers and followers, asking you what you want me to do.
The general point of this blog is to determine how much support my book, The Alaskan Unicorn, has even though it has been canceled. If anypony wants me to continue the book and revive the lost plot for one of my most difficult stories, then please voice your opinions below, as it will allow me to gather intel on how much support my book has within the fandom and whether reviving my book will prove to be a worthwhile endeavor. Please don't be shy and tell me exactly how much you do (or don't) want the book to be continued and please be open with your reasons as to why. The more information I have the more I will be able to gauge the level of hype the book has, even after being discontinued for so long. Tell your friends and followers about it if you can, because the more ponies that respond, the more likely I will be inclined to revive the book for all of you to read. Best of luck, and I hope to hear from all of you soon.
Wishing you all the best, I'll see you next chapter,
Shadow Quill, Messenger of the Moon.
DO IT! Bring it back! Let it live!
yea that idea has promise, that chapter was great. if you have the want to continue/redo this story all the power to you.
Seriously want you to continue!
It may only be one chapter as yet, but the story has promise. I would love to see it come back.
I did like the first chapter, and if you can find the inspiration, would most certainly read!
I really like the idea of this story. I really would LOVE to see it come back.
I'll read it
Definitely one of the most interesting stories I have in my Favorites list. It would be a shame to not continue it.
I am all aboard the Hype-train!
Wow! I really need to get started writing. It seems like all I've done the last three years is reading a never-ending stream of warm and fuzzy alternate universe, filler, and side stories to a show I rarely watch. You have inspired me to get moving on my Space Ace inspired Birdy the Mighty crossover.
