Who knew that someone would dump a perfectly-fine Core 2 Quad workstation at a thrift store? This thing (The Dell XPS 420) used to cost $2,279, but I grabbed it for a mere $8 at the thrift store. Granted, everything but the CPU and (now crap) GPU were stripped from the system, but I've got plenty more than enough to replace the missing parts. In fact, aesthetically, the system still looks practically new. The smell, however? Let's just say that someone must've put it near their kitchen, 'cause this thing smells like cooking oil when I open it up.
I'll probably use this as a rendering rig for 3D animations, but otherwise, it's just a secondary computer for when I can't use my main PC.
Side note: I didn't have any Windows 10 license to use at the moment when I was restoring the system, so I slapped on Win7 instead. I almost forgot how nice Aero Glass looks...

Thanks. I change it every month. This month I just happened to decide that I should poke fun at how clean and simplistic my avatar has been and instead draw it in MS Paint.
