Let’s face it... there’s a lot of great stories that don’t get the attention they need on this site. Perhaps the greatest example of this is the story “Finding a Place” By BattleCat. Now when I first got onto this site, I was glad to find this series as I was browsing, because this is honestly one of the greatest fanfics I’ve ever read! Seriously, this story quickly became my favorite story on this site just for the amazing plot alone. It not only gives the worlds of Equestria girls and FIM a much-needed level of realism but also gives a believable lore and backstory to the thestrals, (which is much appreciated.).He goes to painstaking lengths to not only give a clear timeline of his story but he even cross-references episodes of the FIM series to give the story a greater sense of depth.
The guy is also the best! Not only is he very active with his readers, but he was even nice enough to help set in stone the events that lead to me writing “Red Moon”! Seriously I was just a complete stranger to this guy, yet when I went up to him and asked him if he could help me with my OC, he gladly agreed to help! He does nothing halfway, believe I know from our PM’s, and the dude was even nice enough to proofread my first chapter of “Red Moon of Equestria”, ME Some guy he never knew before!
Yet despite all this, his story only has almost 3,500 views in total. To compare, the twentieth most viewed story on this site has 73 thousand views, and that story came out in 2012! Please for anyone who reads this, please watch “Finding a place” and share it with anyone you know. This guy deserves the fame more than anyone I know and I would gladly consider the guy my friend.
