I have HAD IT with these nerfherdin' Alex names on this nerfherdin' site!
Man, it's everything from cringy black and red Alicorns, to severely OP unicorns or pegasi, to displaced Humans, to crossovers with a character called Alex in it. I'VE HAD ENOUGH!

See, you at least made your OC not OP. And I admire you for that, if not anything else. I read one fic where the main character, called Alex, goes through all the FIM episodes like you do, Jack. He starts off an Earth Pony, and has depression and an abusive family and at least two of the Mane Six fall for him, but in the middle he discovers that he's the son of Princess Luna and he's really an Alicorn, and his wings and horn just haven't manifested themselves yet.
Oh, and he's the Seventh Element of Harmony. And his element is his physical heart.
The fic's called A New Hero, and it's like, a billion words in length.

Would you feel better if, should I be planning to have Stardust become an alicorn, it'd feel more rewarding after he faced some tenuous trials after saving the world or something similar so it'd feel more earned than just given?
