Friday Update #1 2018-04-20 · 1:45pm Apr 20th, 2018
Hey, everybody.
Going to try and give weekly updates every Friday on what's going on, even if it's not much of anything.
This has been an exciting week, getting rolling with the migration and making sure everything was linked properly and set up in the Black Feather forum.
BDK (my artist) has been working on a concept painting for Flitter in her natural (changeling) state. This should be interesting. There will be a few different versions since we're mostly experimenting on a look for the changelings. You can see two of these concept paintings here in the forum.
The Friends and Nightmares rewrite is coming along great! I've finished the worst and hardest part. Everything from the start of the chapter all the way to where Nyx wakes up for breakfast has been rewritten from the ground up. And it's fantastic! The rest of the chapter should go relatively quickly. Lots of superfluous exposition has been cut, and a lot of very nice detail has been added. This chapter has been a bane for me ever since I first published Nightmare Nyx. It feels really good to flush the junk away and make it an actual decent chapter. 
We finally decided on a cutie mark for Rumble!! 
It's about time, too. That only took three and a half years. We've been pondering what kind of explosive or kinetic cutie mark to give him that symbolizes his expertise in explosives and weaponry/technology. But really... it makes more sense that he'd have something non-war related since he would have got his cutie mark prior to the war itself. Something like... cooking.
