As many of you know, I post stories very infrequently on this site. I wish it were different, but it's true. But what probably none of you know is the why part. Some of it lies in difficulty motivating myself, but sometimes, other events keep me away from writing for a while. Take last spring, for example. I wrote nothing that whole season because I was accomplishing one of my childhood dreams.
Just a few days ago, I deleted the second chapter of The Equestrian Thieves Guild, and I feel that I owe an explanation. Put simply, it was bad. So bad, that I lost all motivation to keep writing the story. The only reason I even published it was because it was the first chapter I actually completed. When you realize that you just wrote down some random numbers in your story... "Check Mate was only seven years old" And suddenly realize that you just made one of your main characters still a child "For six years".
So a few summers ago now, I found a book and taught myself how to juggle. One year ago, I did a little performance for my old Cub Scout Pack, and now, they want to hire me as a performer for their annual Blue and Gold Dinner. So I guess that technically, I am now a professional performer. Pretty cool.
Just got home from an overnight Boy Scout camping trip, and OH MY GOD IT WAS COLD. We each got a tarp and were told to go build a shelter to sleep in for the night. The second we were done, snow began pouring down like there was no tomorrow. Then, our cook hadn't thought we would need much food, so we each got two hot dogs cooked on sticks.
