    Sonata Fic Updated

We're getting very close to the best chapter, folks, very close indeed!

    So. The news broke.

    https://www.equestriadaily.com/2019/02/season-9-confirmed-to-be-final-season.html

I guess we had a good run, right?

Personally, the saddest thing is we won't see Tempest Shadow again. I was kinda hoping she'd return for the next movie, unless they somehow squeeze her in for an episode.

    Sonata Fic: An Early Release!?

To celerate Valentine's Day (or the last five minutes of it, according to my GMT Timezone) I thought I'd release the first few chapters of the Sonata Fic that I was working on, just to show that I'm still kicking, and to give those interested something to read post-Valentine's.

More of it to come in the coming weeks!

    Cheers,

Watched the latest Maud episode (Spoilers, obviously) · 6:55pm Mar 31st, 2018

So yeah, not a fan of the Mudbriar guy. Maud's quirks are charming and funny at times, but Briar's is just the "technically" joke done to death. I don't know how they managed it, but he somehow made that joke old by the FIRST time he said it. That's badness.

Oh, also we learn that Maud hates parties. Good job I didn't just make a fic about her going to a random Canterlot donkey's party then, am I right!? Hahaha KILL ME NOW

Hasbro/MLP Staff:The ship, the ship, the ship is on fire! We don't need to water, let the motherf*cker burn!!

Don't worry about canon. Just ship how you like.

The emphasis was on surprise parties... technically. :pinkiegasp:
No reason why she'd object to a get-together if there's free cider, even if she'd be lurking on the edges.

Bloody heck, is Limestone a chainsmoker? Get that girl a lozenge.

At least Pinkie didn't misconstrue the break open the rock metaphor and murder him with a geology hammer. That would have been awkward. But I imagine there's fics and comics being worked on with that joke as we speak.

You know, the only thing I really took away from that rock metaphor was "holy crap, Limestone can see the beauty in things".

I've been thinking, and I found out why else I dislike the episode; Pinkie in it. This is the mare who was able to befriend Cranky Donkey, and she's having all this trouble with Mudbriar as if she's not dealt with worse before. Didn't help that Mudbriar was so one-dimensional that the earlier rock metaphor didn't really have a payoff - I was expecting some sort of deep, character-defining thing about him to show up at the end to reflect the metaphor, but... it just didn't feel right to me.

A shame really, after such a good season opener.

I mean I got a big laugh out of twilight saying I never learned to read

That scene was the best thing. Sadly it's a diamond in the mud. :(

Huh, I like Mudbrair, actually. Does that made me a nerd?

Pinkie seems OOC, but she often did when Maud is around, remember when Maud and Starlight became friends? (Although here, she does seem to be EVEN MORE OOC) I'll see the positive thing: Hopefully if Mudbriar returns in the future, they'll show that him and Pinkie will get closer.

And... please don't get upset because canon Maud now contradicts your fic :fluttercry:

Okay, saw the episode, and holy hot damn how did she find a pony with more social issues than her?

It's not an issue if you just don't give a crap.

The guy really got on my nerves as well. I guess him and Maud are both blunt, but this stallion is blunt to the point of being downright rude.

Second time in a row this season that I laughed maniacally. The first being when Rarity dressed up one of those creatures in the premiere.

As someone who hasn't seen Hearthbreakers and thus hadn't heard her voice before, that was sort of my reaction. Nevertheless, I think the voice fits her well.

At least Pinkie didn't misconstrue the break open the rock metaphor and murder him with a geology hammer. That would have been awkward.

That was my initial thought when Pinkie was interpreting the metaphor.

But I imagine there's fics and comics being worked on with that joke as we speak.

Yep, probably.

For the lacking interest that Mudbriar was meant to be, he does seem to lack a bit of flavor that Maud brings.

But he seems to win me over every time I see that cutie mark of his, a stick in the mud.

Two months of not looking at blogs, but I will still say that very little actually dissatisfies me with mostly everything to do with film and TV shows. I don't keep track of where and when I mention this, so forgive me if you saw this before now, but I usually am quite happy with the episodes as they are, and Mudbriar is certainly no exception. :scootangel:
