I think you should wait a few more episodes to happen to not botch something (you do something or an event happens, then on the next episode something happens to contradict you)
Well, considering the only thing we know about Your story's placement in the MLP timeline is that it's after season 5 and if the school works like Canterlot High you could argue that your story starts on a weekend or school break. You could probably incorporate the school and students with minor issues.

No one ever mentions the school in your story, something that they would have done over introduction. Also Shy said she was afraid of any other dragon but Spike. And with Dragon students this makes no sense. Maybe in a few episodes you can kick off the events of starting the school and throw even in that shy can teach there thanks to to the digimon can interact with the students without fear.
