With "Isle of Dogs" not being released nationwide until sometime in April, and "Ready Player One" a week away, I had to make due with this film.
However, in all honesty, I didn't find this all too bad, but then again it's been a long while since I've watched "Gnomeo and Juliet." Is it wrong for me to say, that I got the overall gist of the "Sherlock" books through this? I mean, I know there are the books, the iconic TV series with Benedict Cumberbatch, and I've seen "The Great Mouse Detective" several times, but this really fits the spirit of Sherlock; as something for kids, this is saying a lot; one might find Holmes similar to Bruce Wayne's over crimefighting career.
To put is simply by Jason Todd at Arkham Night,
Batman doesn't really care about his friends. I know he'll try to rescue you, but in the long run, it's the mission. It's always been about the mission.
I do like some of the character designs, especially the gargoyles.
But how would I recommend it? Well, if you're a Sherlock Holmes fan, I think you might give this a pass. But if you're just wanting to understand without reading the volumes of public domain books, or have a child wanting to understand the formula, this is a good Cliffnotes version.
