Better Late Than Never...? · 6:20pm Mar 22nd, 2018
Well... hi everyone! It's been a while since I posted anything, so I guess I should give the reason. 
Okay, so first on the list is work. I work the night shift at the local store. It's a bit of a resort town, so things get hectic during the holidays. Needless to say, I had a very busy couple of months. In addition to that, what was a crew of 7 has gone down to 4. Our latest new hire drove off the road some time back and is still in ICU. He's expected to make a full recovery, but it'll be a few months at least until then.
The other member of the crew was my supervisor. He has had to go on leave due to his shoulder, which was injured on the job a few years ago, becoming too damaged from the strain of our job (plus he learned that his collar bone was broken... be careful which hospitals you go to).
The third guy has been working in the store for a number of years now, but he's had a little trouble keeping up with whatever department he's placed in. Sadly, he doesn't really pull enough weight on night crew so he's been put in another department for the time being.
With the losses we've sustained over the past few months, things have gotten tough. On the plus side, I'm now the newest supervisor in the store. The down side is that I've been running ragged trying to keep up with everything I'm now responsible for. I've had no time to write.
However, that doesn't mean an end to my writing altogether. Things will just be really slow going until we find replacements and/or our busy season at the store finally comes to an end. We wound up having a few late snow showers over the past two weeks and it has brought in skiers to keep us busting our butts to keep the shelves filled. 
So, sorry for the long break, but I hope to get back into the swing of writing in the near future. I also hope that what I do manage to put out will be worth the wait. Stay awesome everyone!
