Will try and get an update or two out soon, but...

...These next two weeks at work are going to be stressful as hell.

I just have to say one thing, just to get it off my chest.

If any of my readers are private health inspectors with standards higher than local laws, I just have this to say:

    That is all.

    Good night.

    Tell Your Tale: P + P = BFFs

This week, we've got a... Somewhat touching Posey episode?

Think this would benefit from a longer runtime. I also laughed harder than necessary at Izzy in the very beginning.

Believe it or not, I actually got some chores done today.

And that's saying something, because if Diablo IV was this good at any point last year, it would have definitely been near the top of my Best Games of 2023. You know, instead of being omitted entirely.

So let's just say that Armored Core VI absolutely just got smacked out of the running for Best Yesteryear Game.

So in the past seven days, a grand total of five people (four co-workers, one Fimfiction user) asked if I played or wanted to play Fortnite.

No, I do not, and I have no interest in doing so. The only thing I know about it is it is a "battle royale" multiplayer game, and it's main competition is another battle royale shooter called "Player Unknown's Battlegrounds" or PUBG for short. I know Fortnite is free-to-play and is supported by MTX. I know PUBG is notoriously sluggish and unoptimized, even on current, high-end hardware. But that's the extent of my knowledge.

But the fact that this many people asked me about the same product made me realize: I have really, really soured on multiplayer gaming.

I'm not sure if it's due to my climbing age, or my branching-out hobbies, but I no longer want my gaming experience to be dependent on the skill of teammates and opponents, and the skill of developers in properly balancing the sandbox. In the past two weeks, I have returned to Halo 5, Titanfall 2, and Battlefront 2, each for one match only, getting clobbered each time. On the other hand, my single player experiences of my backlog (GTA V, Witcher 3, Borderlands 2, Ori and the Blind Forest, and Dead Space 3) have been more or less very positive.

All the PS4 titles I want to play if and when I pick that console up are single player. The few upcoming games on my radar are single player.

That being said, I am curious as to if and how aging mainstays Halo and Call of Duty are going to hop on this battle royale bandwagon.

I'm very much enjoy both multiplayer and singleplayer, but the upcoming games that interest me most are all single-player focused. God of War, Detroid, Kingdom hearts III, last of us 2.

I been getting back into World of Tanks recently, can’t believe that game is 8 years old now. I really been playing that much lately either. There just aren’t really any single player or multiplayer games out that I’m interested in right now. I was thinking about getting the new Call of Duty, but I had to get my car fixed so that’s not happening until I can get my savings back up. Maybe we’re out growing vidya or something? Halo needs to die already, the story was finished after Halo 3, they’re just tarnishing it’s legacy at this point.
