Born in Northern Canterlot Commonwealth, Lynn Chardonnay began her life not as a politician, but as an aspiring actress and voice over artist during High School. Working local theatre and stage shows, she was a member of the drama club and the student actor guild. After graduating she landed several popular television shows and movies in the B-Movie genre.Yet despite being both attractive and talented with her voice, she simply couldn’t break out into mainstream. Landing the lead on a popular children show thrust her into the spotlight for a time, but as the show was cancelled, she quickly faded from the public eye.
It was at that moment that she began to reconsider her career, and followed by an introduction to senator from the commonwealth, she began her first steps into the political circle. She herself was no stranger to politics, having been quite vocal on the social media application Tweaker, during the era of her most popular role, but now she had the ability to make real change. She hadn’t planned on making such an impact so soon, as she quickly scaled the ranks of government and began to focus on Equestrian City. Being the capital of the Commonwealth, Equestrian City’s government seats were considered quite powerful, and sought after, by all politicians.
Platforming on a Pro-Labor Working Class ticket, she quietly gained momentum for a seat on the city council. All the popularity of her previous work in movies and voice acting had in fact benefited her, as the people now able to vote, had grown up adoring her, trusting her, and now, voting for her
It was then that Ms. Mare, the current mayor of the entire capital city, suddenly found herself in need of a running mate for her next term. Several meetings later with Lynn’s people and her people, the two finally met and seemed to agree on quite a few issues.
Lynn’s career blossomed into a powerful position, one that she still holds to this day as Vice Mayor of Equestrian City. The 2nd most powerful position in the entire capital, she knows that she’s 10th in line for the entire leadership of the Commonwealth. But she tries not to let that interfere with her sleep. .
Behind the Scenes
Clearly no detective is needed to determine who this character is an homage to. ;)
When desighning a government for my universe, I took the existing ideas in the U.S. and tilted them a bit. As such the capital city holds a considerable amount of power, but there's still other figurehead (about 10 if you read) that are over the head of the mayor. Well explore these as need be, but sharp readers will realize that the city has representatives from each section as well as two sets of houses. Congress and the house. All of which are arguing over the new meta human bills. :) where that goes from, well have to see!
Lynn's role at the moment is somewhat tame compared to our heroes, but seldom do characters come with back stories who aren't used in a greater scheme of things. Such is the fate of Miss Chardonnay, but we'll have to see where she goes from there, and if she can be Strong enough to face the trials ahead of her!
