Finding a quote.

Recently I wanted to go back and reread a certain quote, phrasing is possibly not precise.
"Friendship is not needed. Not needed in the same way as art, music or happines. Rather it was gives our lives meaning".
Tried to Google it, only found quotes by Lewis. If anyone remembers/knows - name of the story and chapter would be nice. Thank you.
