    Strike, fade, run

“Striking, fading and running. Each of these are three well used moves, my Lady.” Twilight spoke. “Most importantly, running.”

“Why would I run?” Rarity huffed, still bent over slightly and catching her breath.

    April, with many a day…

So I just spent from the third through today (sort of, still have some driving to do) on holiday. Went to Dallas to see the Eclipse in totality, swung though Hot Springs for… well, the hot springs, and finally St Louis for a lovely riverboat dinner before bidding the Boyfriend farewell and starting the trip home.

    Well, I started it...

All Good Things... has commenced. I may have a chapter of it up tonight.

I really want to start closing out the unfinished stories, but sometimes you just can't get back into the flow for them. Sorceress and the Siren is one, Into the Wilds is another. Which is sad cause I love writing Azure.

    Homecoming, in retrospect.

Homecoming as a series is a glorious mess. I’ve gone on short bits of fluff, created some … unique ships, twisted the fabric of canon EqG, and even touched on some dark topics.

    Don't you just hate it...

When you can't find something when you need to?

Case in point, I went looking for a comment where they alluded to It being like Frodo saving the Shire for everyone but himself and had to sail to another land to find solace.

But I can't remember what fic or anything else.

    And it's frustrating to me.

    Meanwhile, in other news...

Well, as is my usual fashion for March, I’ll be taking off for a while to rest and recharge and hopefully get some work done on original stories if I do any writing at all.

So if any of you want to expand any of the universes, feel free to submit. I’ll still be hopping on to keep up on comments and such, just no story progression with the exception of my contribution to SunLight Sliders II...in just a few days. :twilightoops:

In other news, revisions are moving right along, with only two Stories to go before Chaos Theory goes under the knife. Once that is done and it’s two wrap up shorts are done - one by my good friend Dave_Bryant - and it’ll be ready for formatting and figuring out a cover design, then off to the as Homecoming Arc One omnibus...plus a special short just for the book.

Meanwhile, while that and my hiatus are going on, those of you that have read Homecoming through tonits last completed story, mind giving me what you would consider a back cover blurb? Something I can use to help those curious but not sure about diving into what is an admittedly long journey. I’d appreciate it.

Also, as of an hour ago, it’s mah birthday. Level 36, +1 WIS, +1 Spell resistance, 6 new skill points, 6 new HP. Feat Unlocked: flexibility.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLY! I hope it is a wonderful day filled with joy and wonder!

I also hope that your hiatus goes well, and that you get the rest you need.

"Sunset Shimmer is now a new person. She has grown from being young and selfish, thinking only of herself, to thinking of others and gaining true friendship. But, will that be enough to help her overcome the trials she faces? After living in self-imposed exile, she hears of sorrowful news, and must return home to Equestria. But, she is not alone, for her friend, Twilight Sparkle from the human world accompanies her to help her deal with her grief. So, too, are her sisters, who have not seen her in years. But, even then, friendship may not be enough.

But, her trails are not just emotional, but can also be physical, taking villainous forms. With her friends at her side, she must look around her and within herself for true magic, and rise up, as the sun does each day, even though some see it not. Because, as the sun sets, leaving the world in night, it also will rise again, bringing with it the light."

That's my blurb for the back of the book, while trying not to reveal too much. If, however, you do not with the sunlight to be a surprise, then perhaps adding this, in the middle.

"But, she and Twilight grow close, and their relationship flourishes. Her new girlfriend, sometimes marefriend, will help her through everything. Love abounds, and may be stronger even than their friendship."

Honestly, this story, Homecoming, the whole universe, is an amazing story, wonderfully written.
