Miss Koi Finally Reviews "A Health of Information" and "Marks and Recreation" · 9:47pm Feb 27th, 2018

(Sorry for the images in advance that couldn't be shown here on the blog post for some reason:/ Fimfiction can be weird sometimes I swear:/)
Wow, Season 7 is treating Fluttershy and her fans well by giving us “Fluttershy Leans In”, “Discordant Harmony”, that little bit involving her in “Fame and Misfortune”, and now “A Health of Information”:D

We start with this episode with...oh my gosh wow, Zecora is here again everypony!:D Not too long from “It’s the Mane Thing About You”!:D Just to re-harsh an old joke, that’s an academy record. Haha lol sorry everypony, I couldn’t resist on that oneXD

And she is helping out favorite pony in getting some Everfree moss. I strangely but naturally like Zecora and Flutters together, I feel like them getting along is so natural and not forced because they kinda have a lot in common and they both have a calm temperament and out of all the Mane Six Flutters would definitely have more patience for Zecora’s rhyming speech pattern:) But then again Flutters has alot of patience for alot of things, being that her interactions with Discord as the biggest examples of her patience;) Lol!

But when a mysterious spotted flower sprays its pollen on her, Zecora gets swamp fever. Duh duh da!

But do not underestimate this swamp fever folks 0-0 Oh no, this is the darkest element of the episode and from the mlp show so far 0-0 It’s more than just orange spots on the face and coughing up cute little bubbles. Oh no, ponies turn into literal trees because of this disease 0-0 Not the whole Fluttershy wanting to turn into a tree kind of way, more the creepy turning way into a tree 0-0 And this whole disease becomes even darker when you see that the flower is on a pond in the Everfree forest, a pond surrounded almost too much by trees, and the Everfree forest is a place known for magic unknown or unusual to pony kind 0-0 In other words,...one could make a theory, or even an assumption, that the Everfree Forest..the reason why it is the why it is...is because of the pony magic that still lies in the pony that turned into the trees that make up the forest itself because of this planet0-0

Soooo, in other words my dear readers, don’t be surprised when you see fanfics and theory videos discussing this particular topic 0-0 Boy, wasn’t expecting this kind of origin story for the Everfree forest 0-0 Although in fact, I’m surprised that I haven’t been seeing this overflood of these fanfics and theory videos discussing the implications of “A Health of Information” 0-0 Or am I just not looking hard enough for these videos and fanfics? Let me know if you guys find anymore fanfics and theory videos discussing this particular topic.

And this whole concept kinda gets even darker when we see it happen a long time ago with Mage Meadowbrook’s village. Speaking of Miss Mage herself, we actually get to learn more about this character who was mysteriously referred in passing, much in the manner similar to how Starswirl’s constant reference and mention in the show:) Never thought we get to learn more about her, but so far, this season is all about learning more about those old legendary heroes of MLP lore:)

While Mistmane has my favorite story on how she became to be out of the legendary hero that she is, I think Mage Meadowbrooke is my official favorite out of all legends we’ve learned about so far:)  I like her over Mistmane in regards to personality and whatnot, with Mistmane’s overall legend being the stronger legendary tale, is because of really how well this episode constructed her story and character. They made her mysterious but not too mysterious, they gave her some unexpected twists to her character that I didn’t expect, she has hints of a more personal life and personality quirks that we didn’t get with the other legendary characters, and she has this mortal quality and life to her that we also didn’t get with the other heroes we’ve learned about.

The reason why she’s mysterious yet not is because the episode starts Meadow’s character out as someone that both Zecora and Fluttershy know and admire for understandable and good reasons, giving good emphasis as to why Zecora and Fluttershy are pretty good friends: it’s because of her healing capabilities and how those capabilities are based in nature:) Meadow starts out as this mystical, calm, unicorn healer. She starts out as something unattainable if that makes any sense, much like how the legends start out in their stories. But then soon, we learn, thanks to Fluttershy’s amazing research skills (and may I just say, can we get more research Fluttershy in the future?:D I just love how my favorite character is such a good researcher like Twilight is!:D Yes more nerdy yet determined Fluttershy in my future please!:D One of the main things that made Fluttershy great in this episode, and how Fluttershy is slowly but surely more connected to Meadowbrooke than we initially thought. Nice subtly writers:)), that Meadowbrook is actually an earth pony. We slowly learn that she is something of this earth, yet not because while she is an earth pony, she is an earth pony doing incredible things that would make others assume that she was a powerful unicorn casting healing spells.

Then, we learn more about Meadowbrook when we get to her village, which looks abandoned, mysterious, but still something of this world. Quick note: When they get to Meadow’s treehouse, Twilight says that anypony who lives in tree is okay by her, which was such a great lineXD It made me wonder though: what if there is a magical element to trees in Equestria. Not because of the whole Everfree forest made up of ponies in general thing, but rather the important figures of magic in Equestria. Think about it: The Tree of Harmony is well a Tree, Twilight’s library and current crystal castle is a tree technically, and Mage Meadowbrook lives in a tree which probably implies some subtle foreshadowing of how living in nature and trees in general can help her with her healing capabilities. What if, just what if, the Tree of Harmony is responsible to the magical element in trees in Equestria? What if the Tree of Harmony is not only responsible for the source of friendship magic/harmony in Equestria, but also gave birth to the trees in Equestria as well? This episode is just all about headcanons basically:D XD

Soon we come across, by accident of course, Mage Meadowbrook’s diaries and Mage’s descent Cattail:)

What I loved about these two scenes is that we find out more of Mage Meadowbrook’s childhood, her quirks, and hints of her personality AND that she had a kid or kids, just descendents in general!:D We find out she has a bit of a feisty personality to accompany her sweet demeanor when Twilight reads about the part where she puts a frog on the head of a colt her ageXD Was this colt her future husband or at least a future boyfriend?;) Oh my, the fandom was right about Twilight, she just loves shipping;)

The whole Cattail thing makes me wonder if the other heroes we’ve learned about this season had kids too:) I don’t think Starswirl did though, not only because we would have heard about it by now, and that in my head, Starswirl doesn’t seem like the type to date and fall in love, let alone settle down and have kidsXD

Then of course we learn more about her and see what she looks like in the flashback and my love for her got cemented deep into my soul^^

The only nitpick I have for this episode is how the lesson was incorporated into the story. It’s a good lesson don’t get me wrong, an important one as you get older and its interesting for Fluttershy of all ponies to learn this lesson, however I felt that this episode was forced in:/

Overall, this episode gets 9 hearts out of 10 <3

And now, onto “Marks and Recreation” or should I say “Parks and Recreation”?;)
https://www.bingeclock.com/fullsize_meme.php?img=parks-and-recreation___regret_nothing.jpg
Haha lol well unfortunately for Parks and Recreation fans out there, the title is the only reference that they will get in this episodeXD So I hope an episode about two cute bros and cutie marks can satisfy you all^^ Lol!

Before I begin, so do you guys remember this song on the MLP Christmas album awhile back?

At the time, I thought this song was being sang by Fluttershy’s soon to be premiered brother Zephyr Breeze. Flutter Butter immediately debunk that theory and left me puzzled for quite some time,...untill now;) Meet Rumble, our silent background colt now with a personality, fiesty-ness, and the voice of Vincent Tong (aka the voice of Flash Sentry and Feather Bangs).

Man, Vincent is just killing it this season with the speaking and singing performance this season I swear!:D Hopefully MLP will give him a role where he’s a compelling good guy character we like immediately instead of just later in the episode XD Lol! Like Feather Bang, Rumble doesn’t start looking like a likeable and understandable character till the end of the episode where his brother Thunderlane (yes this is canon ladies and gents), shows him that cutie marks can show us the main thing we like to do but that doesn’t mean it defines all of what you are and all that you do. Other things that you like and do can still be part of your life and they help define who you are as well. Man, what a great lesson for an episode, A+^^!

(Oh no the shipping!:0 All the CMC and every background filly will get ship with this guy now!:0 Noooo! Lol jk, bring on the shipping;))

Overall, with a pretty good song under it’s belt, I give this episode 8 hearts out of 10 <3!

I'm happy to see Rumble and Thunderlane in an episode being brothers. Now we need an episode center on the pegasi twins.

Yep. They're my second favorite siblings outside the main characters.
