Might be bringing a story back · 1:42am Feb 26th, 2018
I want to focus primarily on one or two stories right now but I want to have some variety. I loved that I could write 60 to 70 thousand words in a few months but I don't want to just do that thing.
I keep thinking of authors that can focus on one thing at a time and I tried that but I'm worried that without some change up once in a while, my story might get a bit stale. And unlike a story I dropped and could never pick up again because I got lost- I have this story I've been working on rolling around my head for a while so that's not going anywhere.
But I need something to relax and have some more ridiculous fun and I won't be bringing back some of my really old stories (I would, but the ideas I had in those were hampered by the quick nature of the chapters and so I'd have to rewrite or update the stories just so I don't worry about the beginning being way different in word choice and tone) but I have one set of ideas that I've continued to wrangle with and have ideas for and I have had fun rereading it thanks to one comment today reigniting something.
So why the heck not? I always had ridiculous ideas why not go back to something again? I'm over the thing that made me stop every single incomplete story anyway. Let's bring something back. I'd have to spend some time figuring out where I was going with it and getting back into familiarity with it but something might be coming back.
And if I have to flip between each project so every other chapter is a new thing in each story so be it.
It's far easier than worrying about seven or ten stories and trying to update each of them.
Sweet. I'm up for seeing a greater variety of cool an crazy stories from you.
Yea. I've taken to writing a small selection of stories at once as it helps keep me going more.
