Backlog Update

Having beat Ori twice, my next backlog game is Dead Space 3.

I was expecting the emphasis on action over horror that so many people detested, so that's enjoyable, but the save and checkpoint system is absolute garbage, and is so incredibly inferior to the Save Stations of the previous two games.

There is no manual saving, and if you quit, you reset at your last checkpoint. Depending on what you're doing, that could be ten minutes ago, or an hour ago.

I just lost about 35 minutes when I exited while the first side mission was in-progress, so I get to do all that again... Yay.

Pretty good. Liking the custom weapon system so far.

Really I think this is just the ultimate result from what happened in the previous two games regarding weapons.
