Moth Plays Dragonball Xenoverse, Episode 16: Full Power Super Kinoa! The Ultimate Enemy, Majin Buu! · 2:03am Feb 23rd, 2018

Welcome back!

Last time, Kinoa fought a number of battles...it's pretty even odds on her win-loss ratio.

Episode 16: Full Power Super Kinoa! The Ultimate Enemy, Majin Buu!

PS4 blocked scene bullshit is bullshit. -_- All the epic shit that should've gone into this video won't because of that garbage. I know there are a MULTITUDE of ways to get around that (Remote Play & Windows 10 capture, high-end capture cards) but right now, at this moment in time, I've got to make do with what I've got. I can't afford a capture card and I'd much rather my PC and PS4 both be wired to ethernet to attempt Remote Play (my PC is on unreliable WiFi and my PS4 is wired right now; I'll be changing that once I'm finally back in my own home and in control of my own router.)

So off-camera, I farmed skills I probably won't ever use from older PQs while grinding up my mentorship with Juuhachigou to learn Deadly Dance from her. Among the skills I picked up were the true Masenko (I honestly thought "Evil Explosion" was Masenko, but I guess not?) and 20x Kaiouken (which I got entirely by accident somehow).

But more importantly...

SUPER VEGETA!

Oh HELL YES.

I also got Full Power Charge. I am now AMPED.

So my skill set has basically now reached its peak. In addition to my three deadly pink ki blasts, I have Super Vegeta, Full Power Charge, and Deadly Dance to replace Meteor Crash. The tradeoff with Deadly Dance is that it's not a 35-hit combo. However, the individual kicks deflect ki blasts and do a shit-ton of damage, and it's just generally a cooler looking move. Plus, it's nice to change up that "Kinoa pounds this guy across the stage for several REALLY LOUD SECONDS" thing.

As for Super Vegeta...well...

It's Super Saiyan except that ki blasts get somewhat stronger, and it has a different trigger animation.

Oh, and Full Power Charge lets you power up a lot faster, which is essential for Saiyans.

Anyway, that all happened off-camera, but let's get down to what this episode is really all about:

The stuff that also isn't in this video.

Towa and Mira attempt to steal Majin Buu's energy and SSJ3 Goku's energy, and Trunks speculates Towa has a grudge against Buu for killing her brother Dabura. Towa creates THREE Majin Buus to pin Goku down while Mira fights Kinoa at full power. After Kinoa defeats Mira, she rushes to Goku's aid in fighting Buu. The three full-sized Buus are bad enough, but once they're dealt with, they become an entire swarm of half-sized Buus and pin Kinoa down when Goku disappears from the fight. Kinoa holds out against the swarm as long as she can while Trunks pleads with Buu to hold off for two days to wait for a much stronger opponent. Buu relents, and Kinoa returns to Toki Toki City.

Upon her return, Toki no Kaioushin detects the Majin Brand of Demigra on Kinoa's hand. Demigra appears in person to demand Chronoa hand over Tokitoki to him. She refuses, Trunks attacks, and Demigra is revealed to be a mirage. His real body is still stuck in "the crack in time".

Up next, Demigra interferes in the past to destroy Earth through Super Buu, who, under his influence, uses a planet-killer attack out of nowhere while fighting Gohan, annihilating the planet! At the same time, he's also put Piccolo under his spell while Piccolo is training Goten and Trunks.

First, Kinoa has to defeat Piccolo and Demigra without either Goten or Trunks dying. It's the spaceship all over again. -_-

After the battle against Piccolo, Buu shows up at the Lookout. THIS sequence of fights, you CAN record, so they're in the video: three rounds of combat against Majin Buu, one in his final Kid Buu form!

In YET ANOTHER BLOCKED SCENE, Kinoa gets involved in the final decisive battle against Kid Buu, helping Vegeta and Goku fight and buying Goku time to gather the final Genkidama that destroys Buu once and for all. In the cutscene of the Genkidama, Kinoa even gets to lend her aid to Goku in delivering the final blow, as Goku's strength has given out and Buu is pushing back the Genkidama. Yep, that's the end of DBZ...

But not the end of this game's story!

What's going to happen next? Find out next time, on Moth Plays Dragonball Xenoverse!

See ya next fight!

Eh, I dunno, some can be pretty good, give them a shot.

and 20x Kaiouken (which I got entirely by accident somehow).

Ah, Kaioken, it's like Super Saiyan, but with stamina. You can spam Vanishes and Evasives for free with it, but you take more damage and your stamina slowly drops. Now if you could get the "villain" charging move, Darkness Mixer, which charges ki, stamina and makes you immune to basic attacks (which is absolute bullshit if you ask me), that'd be fine, but, as you can't, you'd need to rely on Rise To Action which gives you back 2 bars of stamina for 1 bar of ki. All things considered, the Kaioken is more useful in Xenoverse 2 where you can just spam a certain move while you have a particular Z-Soul you get from the first DLC that makes it last longer or, a Z-Soul from the third DLC that makes your stamina "break" duration shorter and gives you back some ki. Which can be combined with a female Majin's already shorter than usual stamina break duration to get REAL broken. I'm rambling, aren't I?

SUPER VEGETA!

Death Meteor by the way is telekinetically hurling lots of rocks at someone, it's the only ranged Strike Ultimate and basically one of the only 2 good ones.

So my skill set has basically now reached its peak.

Nope. Just wait till you get MAXIMUM CHARGE.

The three full-sized Buus are bad enough, but once they're dealt with, they become an entire swarm of half-sized Buus and pin Kinoa down when Goku disappears from the fight.

Ugh, I remember that mission, that was a PAIN, every time I tried to do ANYTHING except run, they hit me with a basic ki blast. Not much damage, but it knocked me out of doing anything short of an Ultimate, which I couldn't even charge up the ki for, because they kept interrupting me! Sorry about that.

First, Kinoa has to defeat Piccolo and Demigra without either Goten or Trunks dying. It's the spaceship all over again. -_-

Except this time, you can spam Weekend.

What's going to happen next?

Battle of Gods. Then dealing with Demigra, some special shit, and if Moth gets the DLC (It's really not worth it when you can basically do the fun parts of the DLC for free in Xenoverse 2), some GT stuff and Resurrection F.

At this point, I'm honestly ready to finish XV1, ignore the rest of the PQs, and move on to XV2 which I have the season pass for. I mean, I can always revisit XV1 later and do the rest of the PQs? I dunno. I'll think on it.

That's probably for the best. The way you get Super Saiyan and how it works is changed up, but realistically, Xenoverse 2 is a mechanically superior game.
