One of the questions I've had reading the Ashes series is, "What's happening in Alabama?" It finally got answered in Book 17. The Northern and Eastern parts are controlled by a white supremist warlord, Wink Payne. So, if I existed in this universe, I'd be subject to a guy named Wink? Sure.
The story is now complete with the addition of Chapter 5, "Shadowed" along with an "Epilogue". Sorry it took so long, guys 
Like I said in a previous blog, I think I'm going to stick to one-shots from now on. Perhaps some may want to go back and read from the beginning to refresh their memories...
