Exciting stuff! Okay, maybe not that exciting, but it’s exciting for me!
Recently, I went though a trial to become a reviewer for a certain group, and I just got accepted. (As in, like an hour ago). I’ve never really been a contributor to any group here before, so I’m excited. I’m a new reviewer at Reviewer’s Café . You can find more about it on their page, but essentially, it’s a great group that allows others to receive reviews and ratings for their submitted fics! By warned, though, they’re looking for the best of the best, so it’ll be a bit difficult to get into.
They’re closed for submissions as of now (they have an opening every so often, so be sure to check) but if you join, you can submit a story to be claimed. Who knows, maybe I’ll review it~ (Besides, it offers great constructive criticism so...)
In addition, I also wanted to give more publicity to the writing contest coming up. You can read about it here. It’s being hosted at the Writeoff, which is a really cool website that I’ve, unfortunately, never been a part of. The contest is “The Next Generation”, but the catch is: it’s original! (Gasp). So that means nothing copyrighted, like the ponies we hold near and dear to our hearts. I’m actually entering in this contest (I mean, have you seen the prize pool?) I know I’m not gonna win, but I think it’ll be a fun experience that’ll produce some amazing things. So go go go get writing, you’ve still got time!
