How I got into FanFiction/What to write next · 3:46am Feb 8th, 2012
This blog is going to cover 2 things: how I ended up writing PonyFics, and the future of my writing. Warning, contains drug references :0
I never intended to write PonyFics, or at least as a regular hobby. After watching the show for a few months though, I had a dream in which Derpy and Dash dated. I thought about writing it, but was like 'lol, no.' But then I smoked a joint (drugs are bad kids), and bored in my apartment, I wrote the dream I had. Super proud of myself, and that if I was going to spend 3 hours on a story, I decided I might as well post it online. That's how 'The Brightest' ended up on the web.
Then I forgot about it until about 2 weeks later. When I logged in (after several attempts) I was genuinely surprised that people were reading it. And watching it. And so now I feel sort of like I'm obligated to finish it. Not that I mind, because I'm just as surprised to find that I adore writing fanfics.
Now, granted, it's not like I have thousands of views and reads, but enough to be proud of my small literary accomplishment.
I'm going to finish The Brightest, but I'm not really sure where to go from there. I never intended to become a writer, but I want to continue, especially if there are readers who are interested in what I'm writing.
So I've decided that since it's readers that keep me motivated, I'll ask you all what you would like to see.
I like love-fics, so I've been toying with the idea of an AppleDash story. Perhaps even a humanized one.
I've also thought about continuing The Brightest, since DerpyDash can't be the only gay couple in town. Perhaps following Twilight after her and Dash break up.
