The last research paper I worked on has published at last.

The process is REALLY slow. I finished all my work on this 3 years ago.

This one uses a lot of my histology and in-situ hybridization with RNAscope results.

But no more science for me. Now I build houses and driveways... and rip them apart too! It's a sort of yin-yang thing I've got going here.

A comedic scene from a new Clouseua story I'm fiddling with...

I just came up with this, and imagining Peter Sellers delivering the line had me laughing for 5 minutes straight.

Clouseau, "For you see, the murderer was... the bullet!"

    Guy in room, "The bullet?"

Clouseau, "Of course, no one would suspect the bullet of firing itself!"

Woman in room, "But that... that's madness!"

THE PIRATE KING BREAKS THE NETFLIX ANIME ADAPTATION CURSE!!!

Only the Pirate King could do it...

It's as good as possible. You cannot do such a goofy anime any better than this, and it's GREAT! I friggin LOVED it.

Last call for Bronycon items up on Ebay!

I'll be delisting all remaining MLP items Sept 1st to focus entirely on selling my huge stash of collectible magazines, which take up vastly more space than the MLP items. Everything here fits into a single flat box I can pick up with one hand. The magazines... weigh over 700 lbs total. Sooooo, kinda makes sense to deal with those ASAP!

Not a single good "Gravity Falls" crossover. · 12:49am Feb 16th, 2018

My word, it seems that no one has managed to compile a decent crossover of "Gravity Falls" and FiM. With all the dimension-hopping and bizarre powers and legends in that show, one would think it'd be fertile ground.

But in fact there are relatively few, and most are quite poor (save for a couple of one-shots) and/or have gone into permanent hiatus anyway.

One of the few shows where a crossover would actually be a perfect fit for both Fim Proper and EqG... and practically zilch.

Heck, you could even make the case that Discord is the new form of Bill Cipher (in a different time and a different place) and that's been his origin the whole time. (Discord having no proper backstory whatsoever after 7 years permits quite a number of possibilities to remain wide open for exploitation)

I should kidnap PresentPerfect to do this. Or maybe Aragon, or Monochromatic. Georg could do it... though I'd have to redecorate the dungeon... :pinkiecrazy:

Do you think The Amazing World of Gumball would make a good crossover with FIM?

4797955 I would say 'yes', but I just know, despite the utter silliness that is "Gumball", someone would find a way to make it morose and gory. :trollestia:

There are a few decent ones on "archive of our own" aka AO3 , and who knows what gems might lurk underneath a mile of shit on fanfiction.net

4798855 That's the one in particular I meant when I said 'seem to have gone into permanent hiatus'. I already have too many fics on my reading list that haven't updated properly in two years (or more).

4798884
That's fair enough. I read what you wrote as "has the Hiatus tag", but after a year or more without activity, you're right that's it's fair to consider the story to be on hiatus.

4798884
the fuck... do people honestly just pop up like mushrooms on your page solely for the purpose of down voting every innocuous thing as though you just proclaimed yourself King Orphan Eater McHitler and wanted to read them poetry of your love for fast cars, beautiful, intelligent, and empathetic women (instead of homely, unkempt, and hair coming in shades of hue we typically only see in poisonous amphibians womyn), and all things mom, apple pie, and American flag like, or did you piddle in a bunch of peoples petunias in your college days?

4800559 I happen to be very outspoken and strong-willed, and they don't realize Internet 'downvotes' from fans of a modestly successful cartoon have about as much relevance to me as a Chinaman's fart. They seem to think my ego's as frail as theirs.

They thought wrong. :trollestia:

a Chinaman's fart

that's offensive

it's called a "a Chinese man's fart"

4825541 That's sexist and transphobic! It should be 'the flatulence emanating from a person of indeterminate gender of Sinoasian descent'.

(And so we see how progressivism ruins everything.) :trollestia:

Dear Celestia, that's brilliant. Why is this not a thing/why can no one seem to pull it off effectively? I mean we literally have a Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony who is, personality-wise, nearly identical to Bill "60 degrees that come in threes" Cipher. He could easily be considered Bill Cipher serving the sentence he was given by Axolotl. Why is this not a thing??

4800971
Interestingly, between me and (presumably) Perpetually Confused, you actually have net-positive votes on the comments that were downvoted. There is more than a slight bit of irony there...

4829401 But I'm a TROLL! I need negativity on the Internet to survive! (the likes on his stories go OVER 9,000!!!)
