A Guide to Classic Who Audiobooks and Collections

Classic Who audiobooks. These are a vital element of the fandom. Put out by the BBC, these are readings of the novelizations, mixed in with a few sound effects and little bits of music. Often read by Doctor Who actors, they are always a high quality production.

A Guide to Classic Who: What To Expect If You Don't Know Anything

Yet another impulse post. But, hey, reading over old comments got me thinking. There are probably plenty of people here that aren’t very familiar with the classic Doctor Who series, and I might as well write something to give people an idea what to expect, and put it in a place where they don’t have to go through the comments on Aces High to learn (though I certainly wouldn’t mind new

Aces High Chapter 6 Out Tomorrow

Yeah, it’s that time again. After a VERY long time--I don’t like to think about it--I have another chapter ready. This one took a long time because I’ve had a LOT of big life stuff over the last few months, this chapter was difficult for personal reasons, and I had a lot of backstory stuff to work out, because it was about time to do that.

From the Notebook: EQG/Flash Crossover Experimental Scene(s) 2

Is it bizarre that right after finishing the last post, I launch into this? I swear, I don’t want to start ANOTHER story, but part of me feels on a roll. Though I suppose it helps that what I am sharing are ideas and half-thought scenes that I’ve tinkered with on and off for years, not something completely off the top of my head. Well, a little bit for the last one. Whatever.

Forgotten Friendship EqG airing this Saturday · 10:57pm Feb 15th, 2018

So, I hope everybody had a good day yesterday. Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback so far on the new chapter of A Tale of Two Suns. As it stands, I was taking today as a sort of rest day. Posting new chapters is usually pretty tiring for me, yesterday being no exception between the posts and the corrections I made.

So I thought I'd take today as a sort of rest day, and it's gone pretty well. I finished the backlog of fanfic chapters on here I needed to read, and let me tell you, that's been on my list of things to do for quite some time (Now I just have to wait and see new chapters immediately pop up, that happened last time I had a backlog too...). I also got a few other things done I'd had on hold for a while.

One of the things I also did was look a little bit at some of the MLPFIM chapter books I just bought a couple days ago. I'd seen them before, and I'd looked at preview pages, but one book in particular had a chapter title that caught my curiosity, and I had a gift card to use, so I thought, "why not get a few of these books?" Maybe have gotten more than I really needed to, but that's how it goes sometimes, right?

Now, the book I was mentioning was A Friendship to Remember, and from the preview pages I saw it incorporated stuff from the "Queen of Clubs" short. So I took a look at it maybe.... half an hour ago at most from when I'm typing this, literally, and I discovered something surprising. Then I looked up the book on the show's wiki, and I got a bigger surprise.

Soooooo..... I JUST found out about the "Forgotten Friendship, the fourth hour long EqG special, and that it was airing THIS SATURDAY of all days. Not only that, but Hasbro's YouTube channel will be releasing a 50 minute version as opposed to the 44 minute one that will be on TV. How long the gap will be, I have no idea. Also have no idea what they're going to do with those last six minutes.

Now thanks to my skimming the book (and looking up some YT promos for the special), I do have a gist of what's going to happen. I won't discuss it here and now because of spoilers. I might do a blog talking about the special after I get to see it.

But yeah... my mental and emotional state is kind of in a mess at the moment just from the surprise. I don't really like these kinds of surprises all that much, so it sort of ruined my sense of relaxation today. I really could have done without this being unintentionally sprung on me.

Sorry if I'm rambling a bit here and not making much of a blog post. But this special promises to be, well, special in it's own way, that's for sure.
