IN WHICH I ATTEMPT TO BE CREATIVE
Green is not a creative colour! …Anyway, I'm awake at 3am again because I passed out between lunch and supper, so I decided to try and make a little sketch on a notecard of a map of part of EQG-land. Follow for details, if you dare (warning: nerd stuff)
What I've made is only a first draft and is subject to change. Whether intentional or not, I kind of modelled Downtown after Little Rock, Arkansas, where I used to work about a decade ago. I didn't feel like looking at maps of colonial-era LatAm cities (CdM, Guadalajara, Sucre, etc.) and I'm too lazy to sketch a layout like Savannah's.
Canterville is set along the south side of an east-west river and its center is flanked on the east by a north-flowing bayou. Crystal Prep is near the confluence. CHS is several city blocks to the southwest. Streets downtown are laid out in a tight grid.
There's a north-south boulevard (mentioned in the Halloween horror tale) named Rodeo - pronounce it how you wish - on the west that separates the single-family neighbourhoods from Downtown with its apartment and condo blocks sprinkled amongst commercial property. To the east, on the other side of the creek/bayou (whatever), is the Executive Mansion, home to President Tightfist Bleedingheart -- it would have been Orangeglow but he's dead.
Sunset lives on 5th Street. CHS is on 10th. Carousel Boutique and Beulah's are on 3rd, almost two blocks from each other.
There is an area within Downtown, separate from the main commercial area, called Radio Row, about a block or two long. It's home to some old buildings where nerds sell electronic stuff. This is the setting of my next Sunset story.
Downtown has at least two park-like squares amongst its many blocks. I'm still not sure where they should go. One of them will be the destination of the next Recovery Arc story.
I'm hoping none of this contradicts the stories I've already written.
Well, I'm tired and so I'm going to try to sleep. Next blog will be an Author's Notes where I'll tell you about some things that have happened in my life that are relevant to my writing.

Probably never. I may have a new laptop but I don't have a working scanner. I do have a camera my ex left behind and could take a pic, but I assure you it would be underwhelming.
I'm still working out details because Octavia's Burritoverse story requires railroad tracks somewhere so a certain character (not Vinyl) can be from the wrong side of them.
