Post of the Day: Sylph Gushes About Games · 11:26pm Feb 12th, 2018
So in place of a short story today I'm writing a blog. In fact, I think I'll start writing a blog a day, just to give room for an actual conversation rather than only posting stories and all that jazz. It feels good to have been writing recently, like really good. I haven't done this in a while so it took a minute for me to get back up to speed on how to actually put words together to make something halfway decent (although I'm still not at that kkat level.) Like I said though, it feels good. Only problem is though that I need to catch up on everything that I missed, so I'm taking today and tomorrow off of writing to catch up on pones and to watch the movie (even though I've watched the movie like three times now (shut up, I'm watching it again for research (research.))) I will post a blog though, and I'll be working on something for when I come back from my pone sabbatical. Like right now, I have three google docs open; Starlight Causes Twilight to Say Fuck, Spike and the Missing Manuscript, and a reworked chapter of Dust: An Equestrian Tail.
I decided to pick Dust back up because I really enjoyed writing that one. Dust (the game) holds a special place in my heart as my first Metroidvania game and it gave me a footstool into one of my favorite genres of game that I've played to this day, followed right behind by Roguelikes. So I wanted to pick up this story and work more on it. I'm definitely nowhere near a postable chapter (being only like 1400 words in). I want to at least get some plot rolling and it's taking me a while because I lost my notes for it, and as stupid as that may seem those notes had a lot of info on them. They had the villain that I had planned on revealing as well as most of my other points that I was going to get to before finding some way of wrapping it all up. But they're not on my new pc or any of my flash drives so looks like I'm rewriting all of what was planned. That's fine though, I'm looking forward to it, and I actually feel like it'll be a better story now that I'm reworking it. All in all, I'm looking forward to getting back to writing.
Now, while I get to watching pones over the next day and a half, feel free to stop by the discord chat I'm in and we can totally talk about some shit. I'm plenty friendly over there.
